Call me crazy..

What's your other account on Stingtalk? I'll call you that.

Crazy. I don't know who wins but I know it won't be Miami.

No way Miami wins. It will either be Virginia or Virginia Tech.

Miami still has to play VT, Virginia, and Boston College. The way that VT and BC play D Miami will not be able to score. Miami will be 3-4 in the ACC at best.

VT has GT, Virginia, Florida State, and Miami and should win at least 2 of these games which would leave them at 4-3 in the ACC.

Virginia has NCST, Wake, Miami, and VT, they should go at worst 2-2 in these games and leave themselves at 5-2 in the ACC.

However, the longshot is that Virginia loses 3 of these games VT loses 2, one against GT, and GT wins out. This leaves 3 4-3 teams and GT vs. BC in the ACCCG.

If I had facts, it wouldn't be a hunch now would it. Just looking at the comprehensive schedule that is left, and the way they came back on FSU might give them a lift. UVA is a pretender IMHO, Hokies had their heart cut out last night, etc, etc, etc.

Let's play your longshot for a minute. Why would this appeal to us? To play Boston College again?
Do we just enjoy the prospect of the trifecta of losing to Georgia, losing the ACCCG, and losing a bowl game again?

Yukon,

You're right anything can happen, however, VT or UVA really have the inside track.

My guess would be UVA at this stage. (Wow, who would of thought that preseason?)

What do predictions or guesses have to do with what's appealing? Ryan would eat up our defense I'm afraid but maybe we could move the ball better this go round.

Without our RBs, VT should win next week which would mean the winner of the VT/UVA will win the division.

UM would have to win their next three and have GT lose a game or win their next four. All that being said, I could easily see them winning the next two and VT is a toss-up. At that point they would likely just need to win at BC to go to the ACCC game on the last game of the season. If VT loses to GT next week, they will likely fall apart and Glennon is horrible at QB. But GT is going to have to throw the ball a lot to win that game.

The better UM plays the better chance GT has of winning the division as all we have to do is tie with them and we win it. UVA must lose 2 (or 3) of their next 3 or it's all over IMO.

Playing BC in the ACC championship game does appeal to me. I also don't think we lose to the mutts this year. I don't know how Duece will be for that game but if he is able to pull his jersey over his head he will take this team to a victory.

I think we can play with BC. Taylor had an awful game against them and he will be better. Also, I don't think BC would get away with quite as many holding non-calls. This team is 2 plays away from 7-1 and if that had happend everyone here would be licking their chops to get BC again but because of a hold and a muffed punt we are 5-3 and the world is ending.

But I guess I should think like you and believe that the 2nd worst team in our division, Miami, should play in the ACCCG and that GT will collapse in the last 4 games and finish 5-7.

Since we have played Miami already, every win for us helps their cause. I don't think we will collapse necessarily, but we have two games that we would have to play exceedingly better than I have seen us play so far to be even competitive. And the other two I know we are capable of losing---I've seen us do it. I don't disagree that two plays cost us much, but you are what your record says you are. Not a 7-1 type team, but a 5-3 type team with some challenges ahead. Miami is improving. I said it was a hunch, but they could run the table, and if they do --then they are there.

As much as I want the guy to succeed, there have been virtually no indications that Taylor has improved enough to win a game of that magnitude.

You mean to tell me that an undefeated and 2nd ranked (possibly even first by then) Boston College, playing for a chance to be the first ever ACC representative in the BCSCG, isn't going to get calls over a 3-loss team it has already beaten this season? Seriously?

I have seen no indication that Miami can run the table on VT, Virginia and Boston College. VT and BC play defense very well and Miami has Pat Nix calling the plays, end of discussion.

GT is a LONGSHOT to play in the title game. I do not believe that they will but it is more likely than Miami playing in that game.

When has Miami improved? Was it because they beat Florida State? That is a great accomplishment this year, considering Wake took care of them. Maybe it was when they beat Duke by a whole 10 points which is their second most impressive win.

Miami could not run the table if they played Notre Dame and the Service Academy's for thier last four games of the season. Please get real.

I did not say they would not get calls over GT, I mearly stated that they would not get as many as they did in the previous game. If you look at that game the officiating sucked and I would hope that it would be better in the ACCCG.

As far as Taylor is concerned I have seen improvement every week. Is he Matt Ryan? No but he does not exactly suck, if the receivers catch the ball. And the last time Taylor played in Jacksonville he had a fairly good day, not that it means alot now but it is food for thought.

I am being real. Another reason Miami is liable to do well is that I hate them. I have noticed over the years that I have the ability to influence the outcome of games---whoever I want to win is more likely to lose merely because of that. So.......regardless of who ends up winning the Coastal division it is likely that Miami will finish ahead of us in the standings. Scientific enough for ya?
