Calvin's whole family is nothing but class...

I've had an oustanding $20 bet since his freshman year that he'd be top 5 whenever he went. I'm 100% positive he'll be top 5 if he goes this year.

I just hope he doesnt get stuck on a really poor team for his first few years going so early. Would love to see him end up on a team with a great passing game, (Colts/Pats/even Eagles and some others) and not somewhere were he'll be doing a lot of downfield blocking and only get a ball lobbed his way 2/3 times a game.

I wouldn't be suprised if he ends up as part of a trade deal.

There's no way CJ is here next year. Its noble that he wants the sheepskin but it would be the height of irresponsibility to turn down the money a top 5 pick is going to get.

Its not like he can improve his draft status by staying and we need to show the same level of class by putting his welfare over what he can do for us. The pub we have gotten already this season is way more than we have a right to expect.

With a new quarterback coming in next year, I agree that CJ needs to move on. We need to enjoy his final 9 games as a YJ.

Hot topic.

Calvin is a stud. It'd bee loverly if he decided to play for Georgia Tech next year and help "break in" a new qb (I'm thinking breakout offense myself) but on paper he's made his invaluable contribution to the program and will move on.

Class act and a bona fide stud. I just wish we'd had Ralph's O and Lil' Joe or GG to showcase this cat cuz he IS special..

He brings Greg Maddux to mind. When he was with the Bravos everytime he pitched was an occassion to watch a HOFer at work (same with Smoltzie, I guess) and it was just a pleasure to watch the guy. Enjoy 'em while you can. We do have a whole season before us yet.

God bless Calvin Johnson and his whole family.

Thanks, Cal!
