I think that was in response to the PI they called on us when the ball was tipped.

Unfortunately, it wasn't tipped enough to visibly (and clearly) wobble. I didn't make many friends when I said after the game that I thought the calls evened out over the course of the game. Having had a couple days to think it over, I think the missed targeting call was really the only one that was egregiously wrong. It was not 100% clear to me that the dwag fumbled at the goal line before he was down. And we did get a PI call in one of the OTs that gave us back-to-back plays. My biggest gripe with the officials was not calling holding on the dwags - it was unreal how they were holding all effing game long.

We had more than enough opportunities to win the game. Yes, the officiating overall was home cooking but that's not why we lost.

It if the officiating wasn’t home cooking we would have won, even with all the other reasons.

We had chances to put this game away DESPITE the referees, but we were unequivocally put in positions that we otherwise would not have been in to require putting the game away BECAUSE of the referees. That is a an important distinction.
We shouldn’t have played a soft prevent defense BUT we should have also been up three scores then after not being awarded the fumble at the goal line earlier. We could have put the game away up one score with the ball with 2 min to play, but we should have been up two scores after the turnover on downs on 4th and goal. We shouldn’t have fumbled the ball, except for the targeting to Haynes’ face mask knocked him silly leading to dropping the ball. Blah blah. Blah.
