Pretty simple.

Winner of SEC and ACC games is in.

Wisconsin or Alabama takes the last slot.

Seems likely. Oklahoma was the key I guess. But they are taking care of biz.

Two teams in and Clemson looking like a solid 3rd.

Oklahoma
Georgia
(Clemson)

Who gonna be the last?

If Wisconsin wins, they're in. If OSU wins, you're going to have a huge debate between them and Bama.

If OSU wins they should be in. They lost to another playoff member and had one brain fart, just like Clemson and Alabama and Georgia.

Ohio State has the better resume, but I hope it's Bama, because I think they're more likely to beat UGA if it came to that.

I know, but they'll give it to OSU because they will have won their conference and because Bama's loss to Auburn looks even worse after today.

Let me argue for what will not happen. Clemson should be #1, OU #2, and Dawgs #3. The other two P5 conference champs have two losses. You have Bama with one loss. You could argue for either of these 3. There is no right answer. The conference that would be #6 if there was a P6 has an undefeated conference champion. What more can they do to deserve a place in the playoff? Of course if they had played us they would have a loss. But, hurricanes happen. This is the year to do this. Make a statement that every week in the regular season counts. Make a statement that it is possible for a non-P5 team to make the playoffs if they win every game. Make it Clemson-UCF and Georgia-Oklahoma.

Wisconsin just needs to come back here to ensure 2 SEC teams don’t make it (and to act as the B1G’s sacrifice at the Clemson altar).

The committee will not put a one loss, week strength of schedule, non conference champion, in over a 2 loss conference champion with a better schedule strength.

Which matters more, a conference championship or not having a second loss that was a blowout to a 7-5 team (Iowa)?

Conference championships are one of the criteria the selection committee is supposed to consider. I could see this going either way, but I feel like it's 60/40 Alabama.

I'm not too worried because I see Ohio State and Alabama as equally capable of beating UGA.
