CFP Rankings Thread

I would like to see all conference champs included in the playoff but pairings would be a blind draw not ranking by some committee of biased P5 voters. UGA might be the only ranked team that could go play A & M in College Station & come out a winner. Oklahoma seems over rated to me & I'm thinking the Big 10 is overall down a bit this year too.
Let's just hope Alabama can win out & then beat UGA in the championship game. It would be real nice if the Jackets could pull off a miracle & upset the Dawgs beforehand & that might knock the Dawgs completely out of the playoffs.

It comes down a different interpretation of what qualifies a team to be in contention for the championship. In my opinion, Bama, Oregon, and OSU have no business in the playoffs as long as there are undefeated teams out there. Is Bama “better” than Wake Forest? Sure. But they lost, so öööö em. Also, if you can’t be the best in your conference, you should have zero shot at a title when only 4 teams get selected. I’d much rather see a Cincy than end up with 2 teams from the same conference.

But apparently the committee disagrees, because we see the same öööö year after year.

It should be 6 teams the top conference champions regardless of conference. I hate this power 5 Group of 5 öööö needs to go away ruins the game for a lot of people

I just hope we beat UGAg so if they do win a National Championship, we can say "yes, but we are State Champions" and show them the Governor's Cup.

Hypothetically speaking of course should a undefeated Clemson and a one loss GT (Conference championship game loss) make the playoffs?

I don’t like this take. Conferences have varying levels of strength. I’m perfectly OK with taking conference champs with more losses over other conference champs.

my preference would be all conference champs are represented in a playoff.
