CFP Week 3 Predictions

If this really is the case then it will sort itself out in bowl season when overrated SEC teams get matched up against underrated non SEC teams.

Though other things play a role in the bowl games as well, such as the fact that almost all SEC bowl games are within one state of the school (seriously, when is the last time an SEC team left the south for something not the BCS title game?) and that mentally the SEC teams tend to play up for bowl games while outside of them it is more random.

On the one hand I agree with you, but on the other hand, many of the teams that are ahead of us are just beating other SEC opponents. Like CPJ said in a presser a few weeks ago - when the SEC gets 6-7 preseason top 25 teams every year, they beat each other up and then several teams get "top 25 wins". Even though we all know preseason rankings and ridiculous and meaningless when it comes to order, it DOES have an impact on how teams are ranked later in the season.

Just a BS system...

You and Nashville are both right. ACC can't rise cause it's only playing ACC which isn't ranked, and sec can't fall because it's only playing and losing to other highly ranked sec teams. It makes sense mathematically but it's bullshit all the same. The preseason and first couple weeks rankings are the biggest problem, IMNSHO.

Then Baylor #3? Come on, head-2-head has to mean something. Now, I understand in certain cases like Ohio State/VT , UGA/UF, etc it really has no meaning BUT when it's 2 one-loss teams with similar resumes head to head has to at least be one of the factors.

Ppl öööö on Baylor's OOC schedule, who the hell did TCU play?

Not really, no. Compare their resumes side-by-side. The offenses are comparable, TCU's defense is much better, TCU's only loss was a nailbiter to an elite team while Baylor got dominated by an average WVU team, and their wins are equally impressive.
