5 mil for 3 years. What is UT thinking? Kirby had to let him walk, no way they were going to raise his salary 3 mil.
Holy öööö. How are we going to afford coordinators like that?

I think you underestimate UT. Yeah, they've had some problems in recent years, but seem to have found the right head man. He has the program going in right direction. UT's not a bad gig right now IMO.
Hiring a guy who has already failed at your school as a coordinator for more money than most head coaches make is the right direction? UT is the 7th ranked recruiter in the conference. Chaney is not and never ever has been a do more with less coach. This is a colossal fart noise.

Speculation about Fields' case for the waiver has centered around an incident last September when a member of the school's baseball team referred to Fields repeatedly with a racial slur during one of Georgia's home football games. The baseball player was dismissed from the team and the school made public statements addressing the issue.

Mars said the September incident is not the only issue Fields plans to raise in his waiver request.

"Nobody who's on social media would have a problem with Justin getting a waiver if they knew the whole story," Mars said Wednesday morning.

Mars is Fields attorney asking for a waiver to avoid sitting out a year. What does his quote mean? Has Jan Kemp come to life?

If you are going to give kids a waiver because someone not associated with the team calls them names, then there may as well not be a review process. Just let players transfer no questions asked the first time and sit-a-year for anything after that.

UGA promoting James Coley, OC at Miami 2013-2015, FSU 2010-2012.

This feels like a win for us.

Will be hard to fill Chaney's pants. Edit: meant to say shoes. Sorry.
Disagree. Uga has a pretty big offensive line. I’m sure their starters could easily fill the left leg if they all get in there. The right leg will probably require their front 7 on defense.

Chaney leaving has been in the works since mid season. It came to a head last week when Tennersee was having problems finding an OC. Chaney played the “UT is offering me more money” game and Kirby wished him well, trying not to smile. More than one player has responded via social media that there were no tears shed seeing him leave. Three years ago when Kirby hired him, UT fans were laughing their ass off about the hire....now they are talking like they stole an offensive genius away from UGA. Not exactly the case.

Many were upset at the predictability of his calls, in particular with his passing game, and his penchant for running it up the gut every single first down. Most are feeling that the “mass exodus “ of virtually every draft eligible offensive skill player combined with no legit 5* WR recruits even sniffing the program validated the concerns.

Why would everyone leave to get away from him if he has been leaving since mid season. Surely if he was that hated, kirby would have let his guys subtly know their concerns were being addressed. Sumthin dont add up here.

Played for a national title last season and the SEC title this season. I'm sure Bubba Gagger in the stands would have called the plays much better.

Agreed. Not much of a loss for UGA at all. But will Kirby make better hires? We’ll see.

It was their best baseball player screaming repeatedly, “Put the n***** in.” So, I assume they would make the case this was the culture within the athletic department.

The dissatisfaction with Chaney started about mid-season...I could have phrased it better.
