Charlotte Observer Early ACC Ranking for 2009

Wow! Those comments were eye-popping! Amazing how almost every comment about GT was completely dismissive. I love it! We get to prove ourselves all over again next year!

And nobody has figured out how to stop the "pro-style offense"...

Don't you get it. The fewer brains you have trying to "figure out" an offense, the more likely you are to actually figure it out. BRILLIANT!!!! :laugher:

They'll have that whole forward pass thing figured out any day now.

I think that CFA bowl loss was a blessing in disguise. 1. Our team is pissed about the loss and is going to come out next year with a vengeance. 2. Other teams think that we have been "figured out."

Like a previous poster said: we can prove ourselves all over again.

Oh, and UNC and VT were the only two ACC defenses to shut down our offense this year so they should have no problems again this next year. /sarcasm

Shutting down to the tune of 270+ and 320+ rushing yards. Hmmm... I think Tech hurt itself in those games by turning the ball over.

I guess they also forget that they have to play us in Atlanta, as well.

GT's apparently losing 4 out of 5 starting OL. That's news to me.

I guess this will be a running theme. Navy fans have said that somehow, someway every opposing team has THE defensive coaching and talent to answer Johnson's option offense.

Also, GT had a -3 turnover margin, IIRC, against VT, UNC and LSU. Apparently the answer is just have us turn the ball over tons of times, and apparently pro offenses can do fine with this turnover margin.

Every offensive scheme and every defensive scheme has been "figured out". Football has been around a long time. What ignorant VT and UNC posters don't realize is that execution is what matters. The difference with CPJ's offense is that perfect execution and/or 1 defensive mistake results in big chunks of yardage. Whereas a prostyle offensive running play may only get 5-7 when perfectly executed.
