Check this out: COFH set to 7:30pm on Black Friday

The Friday after Thanksgiving is basically a weekend day for most folks anyway. Plus, beating UGA in a prime time slot would be really good for GT.
This is a good point. I didn’t love it at first but we basically get two Saturdays that weekend so it could work.

This is the only downside I see. One NFL game that day at 3PM, so we'll have a national audience on ABC at 7:30PM.
There will be a bunch of CFB games on that day as well (always are) just haven’t been announced yet. B1G, B12 will have night games as well.

Better time to smack them
The last two times Tech has played UGA, on 11/29, have been great outcomes! On 11/29/2014, the Jackets beat the mutts in Athens in overtime. On 11/29/2008, Tech beat the scum.... in Athens. The Jackets play UGA in Athens this year on 11/29. Let's keep the winning streak going!

GO JACKETS!

I like it - now Saturday is free to watch other rivalry games.
yep .. and it being in Athens it's a good thing. cause i can watch from the comfort of my home and not get harrassed by a 30 something year old drunk dwag couple that wants to sit in my empty seats.

skydog: " you cant sit there."

drunk dwag: "why not it's empty?"

skydog: "because i paid for the right for you to not sit there."

skydog: *extends legs across 3 seats*

Not a fan myself. The big games are played on Saturday.
Really? Because here are some recent Friday after Thanksgiving games.

2023:

#16 Oregon State @ #6 Oregon

2022:

UF @ FSU
NCSU @ UNC

2021:

UNC @ NCSU

2020:

ND @ UNC

Heck, go back to 2010 full of Top 20 games.

#21 Arizona @ #1 Oregon
#2 Auburn @ #11 Alabama
#4 Boise @ #19 Nevada

Splitting a Saturday against the likes of Michigan-tOSU, Alabama-Auburn, <fill in here> etc doesn’t get a lot of eyes on COFH nationally.

This is a good spot this year.

I already had a reservation at a nice seafood restaurant I was going to take your mother to

Nice might be overselling it.
