if we somehow pull out a W, I don’t think it’s a defining moment for this program, but I do think it shows progress. The balance of the season would show how far this program has advanced. A win today and finish with less than 7 or 8 wins does not show progress.

have to agree. The OL has been disappointing thus far. I thought that group would have shown a lot more physical toughness than it has to this point.

The last part is the only one I disagree on. A win today plus a .500 record, regardless of who the other 4 wins are against, shows some measure of progress. I think the problem would be that we likely still wouldn't seem to have turned the corner yet. And I don't think anyone would feel especially confident next year about the prospect of improving to 9-10 wins unless the 6th win was against Georgia.

I can agree with that sir.
 
5-7 against our schedule would be progress. I would have no problem buying into the idea that Collins is getting his program established and needs more time. It is 3-9 or worse that would create serious doubt for me. But, all that can be evaluated at season’s end. For now, John st enjoy things week by week.
