I can't remember the last time Ugag played a true Div 1 team early in the season.

I am predicting a struggle here. I look for Ugag not to cover and possibly lose.

I am not so sold that this Ugag team is better than other recent ugag teams.

(the smile is for NOTHING would give me more joy than for an EARLY upset of these top ten puppies)

They played Texas Tech and Southern Miss in '96. Since then, it's been nobody. I think Clemson will give them fits but lose anyway. My wife is a Clemson grad and she wants to go to that game. I might go out there and try to scalp some tickets.

Gee, I dunno. I'm not sold on the dogs either, but I think Clemson is way overrated. Why couldn't they BOTH lose?

<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana, Sans-Serif">It is better for us if clemson wins then we beat clemson the third game of the season

If clemson wins they will go into the top 25

I'm not sold on the dogs either. They've got a nice team, but I don't think they are Top 10 caliber. Clemson looks to be in bad shape, but anything can happen.

Neither team is likely to be as good as they are being hyped...especially at the start of the season. I think the key is what kind of running game that Ugag comes up with. Also a big advantage with the game being at UGAG.
Having said that, I would hope that Clemson could win it for the ACC, but probably not likely.

Two offensive football teams with little defense. Look for a 42 - 40 type game. Then again if they just kill each other out there on the field I could care less... makes it that much easier for us.

On paper I expect Georgia to win... but it could be a tough game to call... Fall practice has yet to start, but today I would go with Clemson upsetting Ga... I expect Georgia to be picked by a touchdown... but could see Clemson winning 31-28

I expect both offenses to display the first game mistakes, but would probably give the edge to Ga due to Greene ... I expect Clemson to run the ball better than Ga... and if Simmons has a good game, Clemson could win... I dont think Ga's secondary will match up well with Clemson's receivers...

Both defenses are going to be similar... strength being the LB's, followed by an average secondary, and Lines that lack depth...Also, Lovett (Clemson's new DC) called a good game last year when Georgia lost to Auburn...

Clemson will win if...

Simmons doesnt struggle.. if he does, dont be surprised to see Whitehurst get some PT.

They win the running game war..

They dont have problems with a subpar kicking game

(All the usual things you need to win a game huh!)

Offenses start slow. Rarely see shootouts so early in the season. But, it could happen I guess. Looking for UGA to win something like 24-13. Don't think Clemson has the players or especially the leadership to go into Athens and pull the upset. Not impressed by Tommy Bowden at all. Hope I'm wrong though.

I don't care if Clemson loses to Georgia because UGAG is going to get their asses flat out whipped by South Carolina for the third year in a row.

BAM!

I think Clemson has a BIG emotional edge over UGA, and I think they've got enough players to pull off an upset, which I hereby predict.

Clemson has a new offensive line, a new QB and new RB's. They didn't really lose talent here, but they did lose experience in a big way. They have a bunch of good WR's, so if Simmons can get them the ball, I expect them to move the ball well. I do not expect Clemson to run well, as their OL will still be wet behind the ears. They do have some good RB's, but without holes, I think UGA stuffs their running game.

Georgia, OTOH, has the nucleus of their offense return sans Verron Haynes. If Musa stays healthy and provides a good running attack, I look for their offense to put up alot of points behind an experienced OL.

Both defenses are replacing people in the secondary and this will cause problems for them both. UGA has great LB's and their DL, even though they're replacing some people, will not be a weakness since they rotated a lot of folks last year and have alot of returning experience. I look for UGA to stuff the run and put alot of pressure on Willie.

Clemson has a very athletic front seven. They're stronger here than they've been in a long time. Look for them to test UGA's running game.

In the end, I like UGA because of the experienced OL and all the returning players on offense. In the event of a tight game, look for the home crowd to pull them through.

Clemson will make it interesting though if Willie can hit his receivers.
