Clemson game is extremely big in my opinion.

I am not trying to say that the league is naturally against Tech football. I do believe that because of money (big $money$), that this big league has to look after its highest profile team.

In retrospect, vtech was #11, and the highest ranked acc team when we played them. We were #24. With the conference being as down as it is this year, from a national perspective, I can't blame the office for pulling for the hokies against us.

This week however, its #12 at home playing #13 with an outside shot Heisman candidate. Now, whoever wins will look good!

Maybe this week it will be "may the best taem win" without any "help". I hope so.
GO JACKETS!

Then I will.

Attention: The league is naturally against Tech football. I point to the last 5 years of officiating and bowl selections as proof. Thank you.

The league is also staunchly against Tech basketball. I point to how much better we do without ACC refs as proof. I also point to the GT/Duke ACCT finals. Thank you.

When you consider what it means for both teams, this may be the biggest conference game GT has played since 1990 at UVA. I know that's going back a few years, that's why the choice use of the word 'may'.

We know what's at stake for GT. Win this game and, because GT has defeated VT and UVA already, the Jackets will have a 3 game lead in the Coastal on both teams. Defeat Miami the following week and, barring a terrible meltdown, GT will play in the ACC championship game.

From Clemson's standpoint, a win keeps them in control of their own destiny in the Atlantic, with help from one of Boston College future opponents; FSU, WF or Miami. BC is on the road for all three of these game and the probability of them running the table is not likely. A GT victory pushes Clemson back a notch where they will then need help from two of the previously mentioned teams to finish ahead of BC, along with having to watch out for virtually everyone else in the conference (no Atlantic team is below .500 at this point).

I'm ready for what should be a great one.

I am standing firm on my recant! The All Carolinas Conference, certainly would like to keep it in the family, but before the basketball club expanded its membership, clemmons was always the orange headed step child. greensboro has never accepted clemmons as one of the chosen even though they have been in the league from the start ( I believe).

There will be bad calls tomorrow night for sure, but they will occur against both teams. My guess is that no one will be able to get close to CJ without a flag thrown. I hope so. It's #12 v #13. Whoever wins will probably be in the top 10 come Sunday.
It's a marketing deal now, and Calvin Johnson is a very sexy money maker for this neighborhood card game of a football "conference".

I hope Ron Cherry is running this game.
