Clemson Prediction Thread

early in the year I would have said that Clemson is the best team in the ACC.Since then I have watched them play twice and the team I saw against Wake and BC is not the best team in the ACC. Don't get me wrong it will be a hard fought game in there house but Our offense is the best they have faced so far, and if BC had enough offense to beat them we should have way more then enough to win. I think it will be a close game but I would not be surprised if Tech blows them out either.

28-24 Jackets!

Tech: 31
Clem's son: 10

"Run Clem's son run" to become availabe soon after the D teaches the tigers about run defense.

What terrifies me about this game, more than anything else, is that I have to watch it with my INLAWS. Damnit!

What if I break something?

I don't understand why the mainstream media is always so quick to jump on the Clemson, NC State, or Virginia bandwagon when they start off strong, but completely ignore us.

For example going into this season Clemson returns a bunch of starters, but will be breaking in a new QB, they start at like a 9-13 ranking. We return almost as many starters off a team that beat Clemson last season and are unranked. I don't understand why Clemson would be so much better this year than last year. This game looks like a pick'em to me.

Two reasons:

1) We only won 7 and lost to Utah in a crap bowl game last year.

2) Tech doesn't have a journalism program.

If I had to pick, I'd rather take the second game; though, after we win the first game, I don't suspect they will be present for the second. Five of the six teams in the Atlantic Division have only one loss. Obviously they can't all end with one loss, but Boston College has the tie breaker over Clemson right now.

It's a tight one in the Atlantic.

Tomorrow night will just about seal our lead in the Coastal Division. A win over Miami will carve it in stone.

I disagree, I think BC loses 2 more and Clemson will beat NC State. We have a big role to play in that we still play NC State. This is a strange year in the ACC, I just hope we take full advantage of it and sustain this high level of play for the rest of this year and beyond. I think we are going to find out even more about this team on Saturday night.

BTW, does anybody else think that Coastal and Atlantic are confusing?
I mean, "Atlantic" refers to our only coast, and the only "Coast" around here is the Atlantic.

I know that the league is the Atlantic Coast C..., and that North and South divisions wouldn't work, but this is hard to keep straight logically.

You are right! However, it is made that much more difficult when I know in my heart that clemmons only comes behind ug..uh as teams we must beat.
That Tech and cu are only 120 miles apart and not in the same division makes it tougher.
Having to create natural rivalries with bland division members is a challenge. The only divisional foe I truly dislike in a college football sense is uva.
Miami doesn't count. Everyone hates Miami and they are not a college program.

I am scared of this game...but, I have faith in our guys...

GT 24, Clemson 13

A tough game in Death Valley, but Tech prevails. Our defense gives up one TD and 2 FGs.

This will be our second "game day" this year, to be in the national spot light. The first one wwas our first game of the year with a brand new offense that was just finding its way and our star receiver did not have a true chance to showcase his talents. This time he will do exactly that and propel himself into the midst of the Heisman race. Remember his coming out game in the Valley of Death 2 years ago, 'cause this will be equally as good. Tech by 7 in a high scoring contest.
