Clemson to Gator!

Clemsux to the Gator would be a HUGE bitchslap in the face to F$U and the loser of the ACCCG (even if BC). I don't care if it's done purely for financial reasons. This year, those tiggers should be west coast bound!

It's crazy that one win gets you from staying home during bowl season to a New Year's Day bowl. I don't get why they wouldn't want to match two powers of the last few decades, FSU and Nebraska. Oh well, someone else besides Tech gets screwed for a change.

That Clemson would be invited over BC to the Gator is a travesty if the Eagles lose in Tampa. Whenever conferences have another round of expansion and shakeups, stuff like this should seriously cause BC to consider leaving the ACC. The Conference should work much harder to get the best teams in the right bowls.

Yeah, if teams continue to get screwed out of the coveted post-New Years Eve bowls, the ACC will get burned. There are a few teams in our conference that could easily switch over to the Big East right now if they wanted to (b/c the Big East only has 8 teams and much weaker competition). The ACC is really pissing me off on the football side of things.

Once again, the conference (that's ANY conference), doesn't run the bowls and therefore can only provide guidelines. The bowls have the money and will not let any conference prevent them from choosing who they want to make the most money FOR THEM, not for the conference or the deserving teams.

If the NCAA ran a playoff, then even it it made less money than the bowls (I doubt it) the teams and the NCAA would get a bigger share and have complete control over where teams went.

The bowls control the money; the bowls control the power; the bowls control Swofford; the bowls control the university presidents.

P.S.
The teams also need to work harder to separate themselves from the pack. This year nearly every ACC bowl team is within one game of each other with three or four losses. Rules to prevent good teams from sliding too far don't come into play because the bowls have some leeway if teams are relatively close in standings.

the Clemson fans are excited.
they have a new coach
they beat South Carolina
and they have a history of traveling well
BC fans to Gator Bowl? only if their grandmas are down there

the bowl wants to make money, so having to wait another week hurts them. this is a good plan for them to make sure they sell tickets

I hope the ACC dominates its bowl games this year. I'm sick of the ACC getting crushed in bowls as a conference.
There's that.

..but screw the tiggers! Maybe they lose in a high scoring 3 OT game. That way they still lose, but don't embarrass the rest of the conference.
