Clemson

Please. They had "superior athlets" last year too.

They've also got Dabo coaching them, so there's that.

Yukon is an eternal pessimist. Don't think too much about anything he has to say, unless it's positive. Then something is up.

Geez. If we lose to Clemson, then I'll have to get somebody to put me out of my misery! Go Jackets!!!

I think that Griffin, Gladiator, and J Burnett was be a helluva trio at LB. Just my humble opinion, but we might get gashed by Clemson if we don't switch to 3 LB's when they show us a 21 or 22 set. Not sure what their play calling will be like with the somewhat new staff. I'll also be curious to see if their AD is the playcaller during road games or if that's just at home.

I believe CPJ will slow the game down w/ the running game and control the clock. Give Clemson the ball only 3 or 4 times in a half and stop them on short drives, GT wins.

I think we Josh would have to get knocked out of the game and we lose the turnover battle by more than one to lose to Clemson. We will stack the box this week and make their QB beat us which I don't think he can do.

I'm worried, but I have a hard time seeing Paul Johnson lose to man named Dabo.

Here's what I think...

If we turn the ball over 2+ times, Clemson wins handily; turn it 1 time, the game is close; we have no turnovers, we win handily.

I think you are giving Clemson's offense a bit too much credit. We turned it over 3 times each to BC and VT and either won are were close. I think we also turned it over twice last year against Clemson.

Clemson wears purple. Purple is the color of homosexuals. Therefore, the entire clemson team is homosexual. I worry about the piles of men diving for lose balls, not for the score.

Clemson is going to abuse us on the interior line. The question is whether we can avoid fumbling long enough to outscore them.

+1

The home team has a big advantage on Thursday nights.

That said:
If we lose 3 or more fumbles it will be very difficult to win

If we are soft up the middle on defense, and Clemson can control the clock with the run game, it gives them more of a chance.

The key though, is the fumbles lost. 2 or less and I think we win this game. None and we win by > 10pts.

this game (if we don't fumble the game away on OFF ) comes down to our DL and if we can force them to pass unsucessfully

I don't think this is going to be a TOP oriented game. Our offense is not all about controlling the clock, when our offense is clicking, we score quickly. Clemson does not have the kind of offense to really pound out the clock either. I think that TOP will not play a factor if we can get our offense going. Spiller will not be able to run it 30 times (even if healthy) and eat up clock. There will be a lot of underneath screens and short passes from Parker in the hostile environment.

As long as our linebackers don't let Spiller by them (if he gets by our line) then we should be ok. If Spiller starts getting in space we could be in trouble.

This will be a real dog fight, and am glad that CPJ, JD, and JN are on our side. I have a lot riding on this game with a fanatical Clemson golf buddy and we need to win by 5 at least. I think we will.

I am marking it down ----as a completely ludicrous statement--I hope we win, but I don't think that we will. They have superior athletes--eckspecially on defense.

This makes me feel great about our chances, because you are never even close to being correct on anything you have ever said in your entire time on this or any other message board. You may be a nice guy and I'm sure you are, but when it comes to football, you are really ****ing dumb.

I'm gonna say GT beats Clemson by two TD's and we'll be bitching we should have won by more.

I hope you're right BOR, but I'll be quoting this post if we lose.
