Clemson

Think he was trying to come up with an overall scenario that gets two ACC teams in.
I don't think it's unreasonable at all for 2 ACC teams to get in. Just need:

1) Clemson and Louisville win out.
2) Ohio State beats Michigan.
3) Washington loses to either Arizona State, Washington State, or Colorado/USC

Then you'd have:
1) Bama
2) Ohio State
3) Clemson
4) Louisville

Louisville beats Bama, Clemson beats Ohio State, and then you've got an All-ACC championship game. Chaos ensues.

Do we get more money if two ACC teams make it into the playoffs?

A conference will receive $6 million for each team that is selected for the semifinal games. There will be no additional distribution to conferences whose teams qualify for the national championship game. A conference will receive $4 million for each team that plays in a non-playoff bowl under the arrangement (in 2014-2015, the Cotton, Fiesta and Peach Bowls).

Yes. Ideally we get 2 in the playoff and 1 in a New Year's Bowl.

We always talk about the unbearable smugness of the SEC fans and how they always want two SEC teams in the playoffs and how it should only be conference champions and now we want two ACC teams in the playoffs?

Not really the same. In the original Incest Bowl, 1-loss Alabama got in over 1-loss conference champion Oklahoma State. That was bullshit.

Here we're arguing for 1-loss Louisville getting in over 3-loss USC or 2-loss Washington State (whose losses came to a Group of 5 and an FCS team).

Washington only has one loss.

LSU won the SEC that year. Alabama getting in was the BS.
