And if that's the case, then scheduling better OOC opponents won't help us anyway.I guarrantee you that if there is 2 unbeaten teams from the other big 4 conferences (from a combination of either Pac 10, Big 10, Sec, or Big 12 coming up with 2 unbeatens) and then you have an unbeaten team from the ACC .. The ACC team will not be in the BCS championship game...
If we go unbeaten and win the ACCCG, we will have a win over Georgia, which will be as much OOC "credit" as we can possibly get anyway. It's DUMB to schedule YET ANOTHER good OOC opponent. There's NO BENEFIT for it, especially after the BCS changed their formula when Auburn was held out.
Auburn went undefeated, played 4 COMPLETE PATSIES out of conference, two of which were Div II schools, and were held out. The BCS changed the formula so that if someone did what Auburn did, they'd get in now, with the revised formula. That, therefore, is the clear and direct path to the National Championship. Win your conference, go undefeated, beat 4 patsies, cash in on the formula. It's in the math.
Hell, by virtue of us playing UGA OOC, we're guaranteed to have a better SOS than Auburn had.
The absolute perfect OOC game is a home and home with a bad team from a BCS conference. Mississippi State is a perfect OOC opponent. Someone we should beat, but isn't considered a patsy by the media.
Rutgers would be a perfect OOC opponent.
UCLA would be a perfect OOC opponent.
Arizona State would be a perfect OOC opponent.
