Coaches or players

Another thing about getting the 3 byes, is we sort of get screwed on the third one but it works out somewhat OK. We get Miami, then our last bye, then we play NCState on Thursday, so that's not a full 2 week off bye like normal, but the upside is we get extra rest after that for the UGAg game. We get full week + 1 day, they will have to turn around from a Saturday game and be ready to play again on Friday.

I am confused. as we were told by many, when GT ditched the flex bone/spread option offense, GT would be able to recruit the 4 and 5 stars athletes in massive numbers, as CPJ's offense was a hinderance to getting these players. We are getting a few 4 and 5 stars, but not in the abundance that many of us were led to believe with the departure of CPJ. The most glaring weakness that I see is GT's lack of quality depth at all positions, hopefully our skin is tough enough to withstand the several years it is going to take to recruit and pay for the depth GT will need to compete year in and year out with the football factories. THWG!!

1. You were unfortunately lied to by people who have no understanding of Tech's FB history.

2. Outside of the years that UNC's defensive coordinator was our HC, depth has always been perhaps our biggest issue.

3. People that have stuck with this for decades do have the thick skins. The rest bailed out long ago.

Seems like as soon as we up our game, the game ups its game.

I am not ready to accept the idea that our staff isn't a Tier One staff but then again, our ST coach was basically kicked out of the program last week so what the heck do I know.

Three of our last 5 games are against Top 10 teams - that is Brutal. A lot of us figured 7 or 8 wins was at least realistic and, looking back, I don't think such an expectation was out of line. Syracuse and VT were on most people's W list. If Haynes is not injured, we have a better chance vs VT leaving Syracuse as the only "real" unexpected loss.

So, I am not of the opinion that we are going off the rails. There is only one game that I think we really effed up (Syracuse).

Key does not have the experience to make optimal calls during the heat of battle. I remember Curry saying that he would meet with Dodd after every game to discuss in-game decisions and Dodd had a lot to say. I would bet good money that Key does the same with O'Leary.

I think we all got a little too jacked after F$U. Let's try to hold onto the commits we have and get some things fixed in the off season.

It took Ross 3 years to get things on track and he had less of a mess to clean up than Key after TFC.

Not that long ago, we had a moron running GT, a dumbass running the GTAA and an Idiot running our football program.

That's a lot to recover from.

TLdR; the greatest rebuild after the greatest failed rebuild in cfb history

Who said we’d get 4/5 stars in “massive” numbers. Relatively to our recent and forever history, Key and staff are legitimately attracting 4 stars at a higher rate than ever in Techs history. But who cares. It’s about W’s.

Back during O’ Leary’s era, we were getting four and sometimes five Super Southern 100 players. We are doing similarly now I think and hope we can hold on to them.
