I may do these once every 2 weeks just to see with all the runors how things shake up and people's opinion change.

I picked Chadwell because I do not think Deion is going to come here & I saw Chadwell up close at Charleston Southern when he was there & he was impressive back then & has done very well at Coastal. Seems like Souther had to go on probation after he left but cannot remember the details, maybe they had to forfeit victories just can't remember. Lots of speculation about Auburn firing their coach soon & Deion is mentioned those rumors. All we can do is wait & see. I am hoping the Jackets come out & play hard Saturday night & a good effort is all we can ask for . Hope Coach Key can get them fired up. Next year promises a lot of new faces around the program for sure. GO YELLOW BRITCHES!

I’m skeptical on Deion.

I need to see more of Chadwell’s O. I liked what I have seen so far but I don’t want to fall back into “kids don’t want to play in an option offense”

taking a super well respected position coach with no coordinator experience is risky. Unless he has a home run plan on what he would do here I don’t know. We don’t need more OJT with how not to blow timeouts at the worst moment.

I picked Chadwell as well... I do recall that probation. I think it had something to do with some players stealing something but I can't remember for sure. I remember coming across that when it was rumor. Was long ago, but I do recall thinking it was something that wasn't his fault. I've heard the Deion to Auburn rumors as well. Unless something changes, I'm more inclined to believe the Auburn rumor over him coming here.

Are you contractually obligated to mention Southern in every goddamn post you make?

try including some good ones like
Clay Helton
Mullen
Mendenhall
Malzahn

I'd include Ty Helton. Clay pretty much duplicated his system by poaching from him. Ty hasn't seemed to have missed a beat though, pretty impressive considering both of his OCs got poached at the same time

I'd want Deion, but I think Chadwell is much more likely. I do like what I hear about McGee too, but the jump from Position Coach to HC would probably be a historic transformation in all of college football.

I'm very on the fence between Deion and Chadwell, and I don't necessarily think it's possible to know who would do better. I picked Deion, just because I think it would have the quickest turn-around for us. You'd likely see NIL money start to become more available and multiple high-profile HS recruits and transfers start to have a serious interest.

I really like what I've seen of CC's offense, and I think we have the players right now to be effective with it.

Deion's biggest question: Can he coach without an athlete advantage?
Chadwell's biggest question: Would his system limit interest from recruits?

There are other good options that have been mentioned as well. The emotional part of me hates having any Dwags on campus at all, but the smarter side of me thinks that if we can help ourselves with a good coach and hurt u(sic)GA at the same time, that's just a double bonus.

All this Chadwell talk assumes he comes in, pulls a PJ and becomes our OC too. Is that a given?

Does Deion come in here and be HC and delegate responsibility to others or does he take over any coordinator efforts?

Do we want a dwag coach with zero HC experience whatsoever?

Not against those, but I'm trying to keep the choices based on what names are in big rumors among ST and other sites I'll have some more next poll just going with names I know of that are hot for us right now.

I voted for McGee, but the more I think about it Chadwell would probably be a better fit.

As for "recruits not wanting to play option" here are the important questions:

Do you line up in a flex-bone with position names you never heard of?
Is the quarterback a glorified runningback?
[O-line]will I have to cut block every play in practice and starve myself to get down to 270 lbs?
[D-line] will I be cut block every play in practice?
Will NFL scouts ignore me because of any of the above?

If the answers are "no" it is not an option offense. The number one issue people had with PJ was the formation and the way it looked on the field.

Detailed intracasies about "concept" and "philosophy" go over fans and recruits heads.

Chadwell. I feel like he'd be here for the long haul. Prime, if successful, would only be here for 4-5 years.
