No. I want to see some indication of progress. If you don’t see the excuses, you aren’t looking. You must not want to see them.

I think the consensus is that we can name him now.Even a worse performance since coach "he who must not be named" - coach after Bobby Ross. Offensive line play a mess, wide open WR's on defense, and not using using Gibbs almost every down.
Since 2019 we have had a false start after a timeout 5 times, which is tied for second most in the time span. It’s embarrassing.Coming out of a timeout and going False Start and then Delay of Game in November of season 3 did it for me.
I was thinking of this very thing. Those were Bill Curry’s first years and they were indeed dreadful. But Bill inherited less talent and far worse facilities; the weight room was under the North stands and had a dirt floor. At this point in Curry's tenure, some boosters approached Homer Rice with concerns and discussed replacing Bill. Rice told them he was happy with the direction of the program. I don’t see the same happening now.Worst three year stretch since 6-25-2, ‘79-‘81.
Yep Bill has been replaced by G****.I think the consensus is that we can name him now.

Not enough Jimmy and Joe’s and poor coaching … bad combo for the D.
Curry went 6-5 in his third year. That showed factual progress.I was thinking of this very thing. Those were Bill Curry’s first years and they were indeed dreadful. Coach Dodd advised Curry to take the Alabama job. I heard Coach Dodd say that he did at an alumni event he attended in Nashville in the mid-1980's.Those were some dire times, as it’s been told the program was perhaps headed towards extinction. Homer Rice deserves a statue, and although a lot of people got down on Curry for leaving for Bama, I always liked the guy and thought he did an admiral job of bringing the program back from where it was, and was potentially headed.
I’d say people forget about that, but the reality is a fair portion of the posters on here probably weren’t even alive. THAT was a major transformation. They do not understand what Rice was facing and hiring Curry was almost a wave the white flag moment. What we were facing in 2019 was a transition. You had half your offense in the Top 25 maybe Top 15 level, you needed the other half which was in the cellar around #100. Run and teach them how to pass & you win 7 or 8 games right out of the gate. You control games by riding your horses while you shore up the weak spots. You had a slightly below mediocre defense & needed a slightly above mediocre one. You don’t beat Clemp like that (except this year) but you can compete in the other 10 games and win the majority of those.I was thinking of this very thing. To think, some in the fanbase used to get upset with CPJ for burning a timeout to try and get a free 1st down. Now we're using timeouts to squeeze in additional penalties.Since 2019 we have had a false start after a timeout 5 times, which is tied for second most in the time span. It’s embarrassing.
edit, 5 not 6
Don't you know it's because they always practice against the option? Wait a minute.....NEVERMIND!And to think that wasn’t the side of the ball undergoing the greatest transformation in college football history
