All of us are GT loyalists bud so calm down there. Just bc some of us are mad doesn't mean we have to cheer for somebody else. Calm down

To me, while UGA is staking up 4 and 5 stars galore.. CPJ really just needs a guy to run his system and that's just as valuable as signing a 5 Star RB. Example, Justin Thomas. Getting someone who can semi pass while running the offense well stacks up wins under CPJ, Example, 2014. Ive been critical of CPJ but have high hopes for this years team with TQ at the helm and a new D coordinator. Roll Tech

If you don't think stars matter in the long run...well Alabama and UGA did not get to where they are because of great coaching. Granted, you still have to develop the players, motivate them to improve, be lucky with injuries, and stir in some turnovers and judicious penalties to have a special season but talent matters...a lot. The names that stand out in your list to me are Wisconsin and Iowa. Consistently recruiting three and four stars but always seem to be well coached and physical. Both of them have the misfortune of being in the same conference as Ohio State and Michigan both of whom have far more in state talent to work with. To be sure, Tech does well with what we get. Our guys seem to play hard, most of them get better and our teams play well above what the recruiting rankings would suggest. Could be worse, we all could be fans of say...Tulane, SMU, Kansas, Iowa State and many others that have really no chance of being able to compete. I guess they are in it for the money because none of them ever seem to win more than four or five games and most seasons well below that. Poor Vanderbilt is so downtrodden that they came to Grant Field and just about got run out of town and embarrassed on television to boot.

You must be new to these parts. Complaining and bitching about everything from uniforms to so and so playing in front of someone else, the quarterback, the play calling, the defense, the kicking game and everything else in between is a storied and much beloved Tech tradition. Your loyalty to our coach, team, and most of all the players is much appreciated but really you should know that fans are hypercritical of just about every thing. It's the way things are and have been for a long time. Just chill out and enjoy the game.

I am actually of the opinion that Virginia Tech does pretty well with the talent they get. Sure, they have higher recruiting rankings than we do but they are not a perennial top 20 or so team in the rankings (I don't think but I could be wrong about that). Lately, we have had more success against the Hokies than any of the other Big Four (Virginia Tech, Miami, UGA, and Clemson) probably because their talent, while pretty good is not off the charts the way the other three tend to be.

Would be fantastic to stick it to the cheating, self absorbed, tax payer supported, felonious HillNerds.

And the bonus of hearing the wailing from those about the value of their degree going down would be glorious.

I agree for the most part. There’s a line that shouldn’t be crossed and it is crossed too often. Criticizing a play or play call is one thing, but putting down the players when they are busting their ass is another.

But if we removed the critical threads, that would only leave about 3 people in here telling everyone good job on the 5-6 season.
