COJ getting out coached .....

Our offensive line doesn't provide Nesbitt enough time to pass usually. i think the Johnson was making dumb mistakes only because he was pissed off. LSU didn't beat Tech. Tech beat the crap out of itself. Next year we will have depth. Nesbitt will have more time to understand the option.

Josh needs to become more accurate if we are going to move into the upper echelon of FBS. Until then we'll always be a fringe team.

Josh can run or he can throw. Unfortunately, what he can't seem to do is run and throw at the same time without one aspect sacrificing the effectiveness of the other. If he has that extra second to set his feet before needing (as opposed to wanting) to throw the ball then I don't think accuracy will be a big concern for Josh.

For passing plays, I haven't seen too many times where Josh isn't running for his life. I expect our offensive line to be better next year when there's more competition for the starting job instead of just attrition.

did cpj say that lsu didn't belong on the field with us? some jackoffs on TD are saying this.

CPJ isn't the type of man to say that. I wouldn't be able to believe it. Maybe one of our young players did (and that's a BIG maybe).

yeah doesn't sound like us, i don't why someone would say something like that, their season wasn't THAT much worse than ours.

Exactly. We had receivers open but Josh/OL couldn't get them the ball. I am confident we'll have a passing game when we need it by next season.

We by God .. better. Best your butt the rest of the ACC will watch this one over andover

From AJC:
On fourth and 5 from the LSU 46, punter Brady Dalfrey passed to Chad Jones for 21 yards.

Miles explained the call this way:

“We have some pretty nifty special teams guys. We felt like we needed to steal some possessions and keep the ball away from their offense.”

Miles noted Tech had erased a 28-12 halftime deficit at Georgia, though the situations were hardly comparable. Miles said LSU kept throwing the ball well into the fourth quarter because the Jackets were loading up the box to stop the run. He described it as an automatic offensive adjustment.

Tech coach Paul Johnson had this reaction to the fake punt:
“I can only coach one team. That stuff usually comes back to get you. I don’t worry about that, I just coach one, he coaches the other. It was a nice fake, it worked.”

Coach Paul Johnson said his team’s poor performance in the Chick-fil-A Bowl should not diminish what the Jackets accomplished this season.

Little was expected, yet Tech finished 9-4, tied for the Coastal Division title and beat Georgia for the first time in eight years.

“I’m not going to let this put a damper on the season that we had and that the seniors had,” Johnson said. “I’m disappointed in the way we played. I’m disappointed I didn’t do a better job getting them ready to play better.”

The only thing that made me happy today was my paper airplane making it into the endzone

From everything I've seen, the vast majority of the posters on TD are complete dumbasses.

They took umbrage with CPJ saying that we would have liked a high rated opponent but LSU is still a good team.

I guess he said this back when the matchup was announced.
