Colors for the Week

It really looks like the camera work was intended to shy away from the different golds on the hats and shirts.

But I don't give a consensual öööö, let's beat these öööööööööööös to ööööing death öööö Old Miss. Starville is a ööööhole anyway.

I still remember one of the things that TStan said about the Adidas deal was that they were going to develop a shade of gold material that would match the helmets. I guess they gave up on that. Still nice tho.

Georgia Tech selects its new gold

After several weeks of working with new apparel partner Adidas, the Georgia Tech athletic department has landed on the shade of gold that it will use for apparel and uniforms.

I do dig them, but I have also always assumed we will never get the matching ones because they're not willing to go full French's on the helmets. Which I think is a shame, I really wish we would embrace the mustard-old gold .

These look much better than the O'Leary golds. Those golds were only necessary for homecoming and/or hosting Wake, and though I like them, they always seem strange to me. The ones Goose and Co. wore with the big Price Is Right numerals just looked very peculiar. The home whites from those years are the GOAT though, 1996-2000, gold letters or navy, they were amazing.
 
Love the pieces individually, but the mismatch between the jersey color and the helmet is jarring to me. I heard that this is much less of an issue in-person, but I'm watching on TV (though I'll be in Florida for the game next weekend!)

Still better than pretty much anything from the Russell era though.
 
I like the look. I suppose it’s just too difficult to match the gold of the helmet to fabric. Suppose the only way to remove this issue is white helmets, similar the the CJ photo that appears often in our uniform threads.

The hats and the shirts are the same color. Different surfaces reflect light differently.
