Ok cool. Applying your logic, OLeary is a better coach than Chan, so you agree with post. OLeary would outcoach Chan which was my point.

O'Leary was better than Chan at GT, I wouldn't have thought that was even worth debating.

That has nothing to do with O'Leary's program at UCF, which so far is nothing special and hardly worth bragging about on this site. Perhaps you should take your own advice and "shut your trap" about O'Leary's UCF program, since you have nothing to back up your absurd bravado.

In fact, O'Leary has been average or worse without Friedgen (6-5 in 1995, 7-5 in 2001, 14-25 at UCF), just as Gailey would probably would have been below average without Tenuta.
 
Tehncially speaking, UCF is ranked higher than GT in the polls, and thats a miniscule program compared to the resources GT provides for Gailey. Sounds like he has "coached up" his players. Something Gailey has never been accused of.

Rankings at this point in the season mean next to nothing, and having 4 points in the "also receiving votes" probably means the Orlando Sentinel put UCF #22 or some such. Citing this as evidence of anything O'Leary has accomplished at UCF is a complete waste of time.

I wish George nothing but the best at UCF, but after the 4-8 egg his team laid last year it would be better to wait until the end of this season to try to evaluate how he is doing.

Is that what you are doing in Chan's case? Are you waiting till the end of the season to evaluate? At this point in time, GOL is doing more at UCF than Chan is doing at GT.. I bet attendance is increasing every game at UCF..

Since you want to give Fridge the credit for OLeary wins, I have decided to give BOB credit for the losses.. Please add those into your next set of calculations.

Wow, I'm actually impresses w/ those kind of attendance numbers. Sounds like they had more fans in the stand than we did for our first 2 games!
 
Makes you wonder if O'Leary is campaigning for stadium expansion down there. :)

What about total? No way BDS was 40,000 strong against Samford.

And you realize you're touting a roughly 3,000 fan's a game difference between a Div 1A BCS conference team w/ a history of success and rich tradition with the University of Central Florida!? Hell, they may be 1A, I don't know, but its still sad.
 
I would think UCF would have a bigger attendence than GT. UCF has 42K+ students and GT has about 15K. But, once again if you are in love with Olry go the the UCF board, not GTs.
