is he going to be back this week? i think this would be a perfect game to try and let him spy on TT all game long. with VT's wide receivers, we should be able to play man up on everybody and let burnett play centerfield safety. than we could move up taylor or reid, whoever is playing the other safety and let them play a spy the entire game. thoughts?

It would be good redemption if he can keep him in check. The bs roughing the passer was called on him last year that lead to the td

no. I doubt he'll be back. Besides, there's no way even with a QB spy that we will be able to stop them from marching down the field at will. I would be very surprised if we can make VT punt... The GT-D vs VT-O is one of the most lopsided matchups we'll have all year. We can only hope that our offense can answer all of their scores and maybe win it with a 2-point conversion in the 4th quarter.

first a concussion, but after the MSU game he was found to have a heart condition and had surgery on it. Something like CWC? I don't remember the name...
He had actually had that condition, I think I read, his whole career but never thought much of the random spurts of pain till the Miami game, where it was apparently really bad.

are you serious? Jesus he could have dropped dead at any time... ESPECIALLY running around playing football... (sorry if I sound like someone's mom)

Okay, was WPW...and was not having pain with it, but Palpitations (which is feeling your heart flutter a bit) -- and while it is life threatening, often times people just do not go see a doc until it becomes "bad." And that appears to be the case with Coop -- I sincerely doubt he has known about it all this time without getting it fixed and still playing ball.

They will not march down the field at will, and they will punt. As bad as FSU is as a team, their offense is far superior to Virginia Tech---and different. We will defend it differently that we had to defend FSU. VPI has no where near the WR talent that FSU had, but they do block and run fairly well. Our defense will show up and play adequately. The defense doesn't have to win this game, they just have to make enough stops to allow our offense to flourish. This should be a fast game, with fewer than average possessions. Getting behind by two scores is something neither team looks forward to.

Cooper may take a medical redshirt this year. He is having a slow recovery from the surgery performed on him. At best it will be 2 or 3 more weeks until he is ready to play. That would mean Wake, Duke and UGA.

Go Jackets!
