Could have an OC in the next 2 weeks!

I mean, how serious is this rumor?

Are Chan and Dan good friends?

Would he be coming back because he enjoys it, or does he just want a paycheck?

Chan & Dan are tighter than a tick on a blue heeler.

He'd be doing it for friendship and restlessness. Not everyone is cut out for retirement.

Wow, being 41 has never seemed as old as it does after reading this about Ronnie Jr. Ronnie and I grew up in the same church, played church softball together, stayed up all night many a time smoking bar-b-que on the church pit for the annual bbq sale. I have known him since he was an infant.

I know that during his time at Ole Miss and his current stay at Jax State he has been one of the main players in recruiting. Hard to believe he's been at it for seven years now, but he has slowly progressed up to OC.

He's very young and inexperienced, don't know what kind of a real shot he may have but I'll try and find out. 'bsakoff', where did you hear this from?

The same guy who told me we where going after Coker....So take it for what it is, but why would you draw this guys name out of a hat? I have never heard of him.

Aren't they both from Americas?

It is hard to believe a former NFL head coach like Dan Reeves would step all the way down to a coordinator position at the college level. Next thing you'll tell me is that former Falcon coach Jerry Glanville is a coordinator at some college like Hawaii or someplace.;)

Sounds like the choices are two very different types of OCs, either a seasoned coach like DR or Coker, or a very young coach who would be an understudy to CCG. Personally, I hope it is one of the more established guys who CCG would be less likely to second guess even if the tenure might be shorter.

I think Dan Reeves is the best thing I've heard so far. Especially since he doesn't need the money.

Dan Reeves???!!! BWAAAAHAAAHAAAHAAAHAA. It sounds like some people would want him - WHY??? The game has passed him by - why would we..... oh nevermind. Forgive me if all of you weren't serious.

Well I must say, everyone who's been talked about seriously sounds pretty good to me. I'd take Reeves, I'd take Coker, I'd take either of those newbies mentioned in this thread.

Bond, a 1985 Arkansas graduate, has been offensive coordinator at Northern Illinois for four seasons, during which the Huskies set school season records for points, touchdowns, first downs and total offense. He was offensive coordinator at Army from 2000-03 and at Illinois State from 1996-99.

Would you take Geis?

Would you take Geis?

Only if he got full playcalling duties, and we couldn't hire someone with more experience due to financial shortfalls. I want to know that whoever is in charge, is in charge, so the fellowship of the miserable can't blame every failed 3rd and 1 on Chan.

Seems like a good hire. Now, is he the QB coach also?

He's got quarterbacking coach experience. Dunno how Chan will handle it here. Could be Bond or Geis. I imagine Bond.
