Could we see Clemson in the MNC hunt?

It's been a while since an ACC team was mentioned in the title hunt. True, Clemson has been known for late-season collapses under Tommy Bowden, but their schedule sets up nicely as they don't play VT or Miami this year. They also return one of the best teams they've had a in while.

Thoughts?
 
no way in hell.

They have good position players...but the Oline is something of a Highschool team..

Every clemson fan in the country is thinking the same thing. Better than their usual chances, but still a very darkhorse team, especially with TB still there. Honestly I'm still shocked that we let Gailey go before they got rid of TB, seems he does just enough every year.
 
TB will not(see: can not) make it happen. The talent is there(except maybe the OL), but they don't have the necessary coaching push to get them on MNC level.

I'd be surprised if they didn't lose at least 3 games....including their annual "huh?" or 2

Didn't they just give him a decent size contract extension as well?
 
I dont expect it, TB is alot like CCG he manages to lose a few that are unexpected, very average coach

Clemson fans almost as delusional as Dawg fans!

Clemson can not even consistently beat Georgia Tech. They have too many whiners to win consistently. Whiners are led by HC Tommy Bowdown.

If it weren't for their entire OL having almost ZERO experience, I think most here would think they'd have a good shot this year, even with baby Bowden as their coach.
 
I know this is a dumb question, but what does the "M" in MNC stand for?

I thought maybe Mythical since you were talking about Clemson?

Yep. Davis and CJ are good, but I don't think they are on the level that Vince Young was at in college.

It's not a dumb question. That's what it stands for. I've never really understood why. It's not a Clemson thing.
