Could we see Clemson in the MNC hunt?

A mythical championship is a championship which isn't determined on the field, i.e. the BCS. I think technically the BCS doesn't quite fit the definition since there IS a final game(unlike with say high school sports where it only goes up to state and the national champion is just whoever's at the top of the poll), but it's pretty much the same thing...you could have four teams with identical records who never got to play each other, and only two of them have a chance at the title.
 
I don't think it's crazy to think they could possibly be in the conversation at some point this year.

Their schedule sets up well for them. And they are definitely loaded with talent. nobody talks about Cullen Harper but if he builds on last year he could have a monster year.

They certainly have to be thinking at worst a trip to the aCC title game and a BCS bowl game with what they've got talent wise.
 
As long as it's not us - I'd love to see Clemson in the NC game. I don't see it happening, but it's good for the ACC and I like Clemson anyway.
 
Before his MNC, Mack Brown got closer to the MNC than TB has gotten to even an ACC title.

They first need to win the Atlantic next year and I'm not even sure they can pull that off.

Well let me play devil's advocate. As far as player talent and experience, this year's Clemson's team is it's best in a long time. Definitely Tommy Bowden's best squad. ALL their starters are upperclassmen and most are seniors. They have arguably the best backfield in all of college football and a very underrated QB. IF their OL can gel pretty quickly, I would not write them off. If they can beat Bama and not get too full of themselves, they've got a serious shot.

Coaching however COULD be an issue....Why do I feel like this will be quoted :D
