CPJ, in the Rocks voice, "It doesn't matter what you think"

Pretty sure he said coaching has been inadaquate in the post game presser.

The point being he has not the capability to change the way he, or his assistants, coach any differently to make things change.

What will Sewak do differently?

What will CPJ change to make the O better?

How, after 10 years, will D be given as much emphasis as his O? The same for ST.

He is too prideful, arrogant, or something else to do things that will make it better.

This quote bothers me, seems like AJC putting a lot of words in his mouth

Johnson acknowledged that the team has to play better, but added that “there is a lot of revisionist history that goes on here, too.” Johnson was referring to what he perceives as fans measuring him against expectations that don’t match what Tech has accomplished since Bobby Dodd’s retirement at the end of the 1966 season.

Can you imagine what he is going to let loose with after he is fired or retires?

Find a QB that can run it. Our last QB won an Orange Bowl. I'm sure he will find another of equal or better quality. Not his fault Lucas went down with a season ending injury.

You cannot argue that he has not made Tech football better than it was the previous 40 years. I like CPJ & he will get this figured out. The foolowing is from the article linked above but apparently the critics on here did not read the whole thing."From 1967 through 2007, the last season before his hire, Tech’s overall winning percentage was .526, with the Jackets not playing in a major bowl and winning two ACC championships with one shared national championship. In his tenure, Johnson’s winning percentage is .575 and Tech has won an ACC title, played for two more and twice played in the Orange Bowl."

.575 > .526 – but just barely.

Those of us who have been big supporters are concerned because this doesn't look like his previous four-year slump (2010-2013). This looks a lot worse.

And if you look at win avg during tenure compared to Chan.. after this season, they’re likely to be tied

Good question. We did prove in 2014 that we are capable of playing at an extremely high level on the OL, but we were so pathetic the next year that it was mind-blowing. Is it really as simple as Shaq Mason being THAT good and our other OLs as being not as good? If so, the answer is to find more of him.

Easy answer. Get the right QB in there. We've had two above average QBs in the CPJ era, and both of them went to the Orange Bowl. I'd say that's a pretty clear indicator of how important that position is. James Graham may be that guy, but I'm not sure he'll have that long unless he figures out how to win some games with Marshall/Oliver in there in the meantime.

The defense blows, and so does the special teams. Recruiting is partially to blame, but there are plenty of teams with similar recruiting rankings and much better defenses and ST, so this is a worrying trend for sure. If he gets fired, this should be why.

He is too prideful, arrogant, or something else to do things that will make it better.
I'm sorry, but this sounds dumb. Are you suggesting that he could fix these problems and win more games if only he wasn't so stubborn/arrogant? That he'd rather lose and get fired than make changes? Because that is how it comes across, and that is pretty dumb.

How many times has he said we have to coach better.

If a guy is not doing what he does in practice, then it is on the guy. Thier is no issue with pointing out where the guys are not getting it done. What is he suppose to say... bad coaching over and over? The play is what it is... sometimes it is the athlete and sometimes it is coach. He has covered both.

Why am I typing, it’s like trying to talk to fans.

I think Shaq coached up the OL in 2014 and when you lost him you lost more than the best guard, you lost a leader. The others around him played much better with him.

I've supported CPJ but the recruiting is destroying my support. I don't expect 4 star recruits but I do expect 3 star recruits with some diamonds in the rough. There are no diamonds - or at least not more than 1 or 2. Carpenter maybe.
