CPJ responds to Aycock in the AJC...

I agree. It's funny all of the idiots that still post the same crap about CPJ on those blogs. They still are trying to say he is a hypocrite, a liar, blah, blah, blah.

I think PJ picked this situation to prove his point on committing to Tech vs. looking at other schools. The more run it gets with the AJC the better off we are over the long run as it will help everyone understand PJ's rules.

If you read the article he was asked. I doubt he would bring it up otherwise. Also his comments were pretty much word for word what he's said, and been quoted on, before.

I think its a smart play by PJ. He mentions how some kids commit just to have a fallback, then play the field for a better offer. He'd never pull a kid's offer if say some higher target who had previously crossed Tech off suddenly want to be a Jacket.

Donte should have taken all his "fun" visits before committing to Tech. Once you "tie the knot" there's no more "sowing your wild oats."

+1. Committing to Tech means actually committing to Tech.

Your word should be your BOND--you are never too YOUNG to learn that--CPJ teaches accountability to the young men he couches and recruits--this is a very refreshing and NEEDED attitude to take in college sports.

I'm glad PJ has stated his position on commitments but in regards to Aycock, I hope PJ gives it a rest. Saying anything else at this point would be bordering on juvenile.

Paul Johnson didn't bring the matter up, he was asked about it. I get your point though.

I don't like aycock but I love my johnson. Ok enough with the corny jokes. I really like PJ stance on this. I thought it was a double standard at first but now I agree with PJ.

Aycock may be better suited for Malzahn's offense, anyway. We've got David Sims, Luallen, and potentially Connor Shaw on the way to complement the current order.
