I just don't get the negative reaction towards his comments regarding ugag. If he makes the entire season revolve around that game, then his players lose focus on the rest of the games. I think he did a good job explaining himself and I have no problem with what he said.

He's got to keep the right perspective on the game even if the crazy fans (including me) don't.

We just fired Chan Gailey for making the exact same comments. Well, really fired him for losing, but the comments sure as hell didn't help.

Well it's ok b/c CPJ actually won. Gailey didn't, so those comments didn't fly.

Bingo. We fired Gailey for making the same comments when we'd lost 7 in a row and he had never won. CPJ is making similar comments after winning and never losing. I guarantee he would be singing a different tune if we'd lost.
