CPJ's plans for M. Wright's Role?

Did you guys not see him play vs. UGA?? He laid some wood on Curren a couple of times. Knocked the SH*T out of him..
I saw it and didn't believe it at first that it was #3. Also surprised that he was in the game on those plays to block, which were crucial. Actually, I am now not surprised at anything that PJ does.

KE = 1/2 mv^2

In other words, the mass isn't that important if you have the velocity.

He did knock the hell out of him, that got me out of my seat along with the couple of miles running the ball down the dogs pie hole and the half dozen td's-

yes indeed PJ has a plan for him, I''m sure it will surprise the hell out of whoever we are playing at the time...Dwyer up the gut 4 or 5 times lucas Cox sweep, then some out of nowhere play with Wright streaking down the sidelines for 6

He was involved a the fumble on the ko as well. I think that is what is giving him pt with coach currently.

Any chance we redshirt him next year? Seems like we'll have a little more depth at A-Back

Dont think so. It seems more likely that Embry would. Since Wright has beat him out.

I still disagree with burning the red-shirt, but PJ knows more than I do. I assume Marcus will just get mop-up duty at A-Back. He is fast, but that doesn't necessarily translate into a good returner. Plus, his issues seem to be with ball security, which is the #1 priority of any kind of returner. There is nothing worse for momemtum than to force a punt and then to give the ball back 40 yards further down-field.

he is a talented and fast guy but PJ did what he needed to do. we were battling some injuries at the time and we seriously needed a little depth. I do not disagree with his decision at all especially because we have a slew of guys coming in for the next couple of years. If we get another qb one of them will likely be converted to AB or BB. We will Anthony Allen next year whom some say is as good or better than Dwyer. So as of next year we will have good depth at the AB and BB position and we will be able to redshirt some.

AB
Roddy Jones
Lucas Cox
Embry Peeples
Marcus Wright
Anthony Allen
Greg Smith (maybe, he didnt play much of late)

BB
Jonathan Dwyer
Quincy Kelly
Lucas Cox
not sure who else we have back there that can fill in.

I'm in the camp that thinks Greg Smith either switches to WR or transfers. He's definitely fallen out of favor, lot of missed blocks.

4. Lyons

1. Jones
1. Allen/Dwyer
2. Cox
2a. Wright
2b. Orwin Smith
3. Greg Smith

We will have SO many options next year its going to be SILLY.

Well, we don't finish as strongly as we did without him so I'd say PJ knows what he's doing. Also, I remember one fumble, on his first carry I believe. Don't know if that equals problems with ball security. He looked pretty damn secure setting up the TD against FSU.

I noticed that opposing teams always kicked off away from him. Are they afraid of his speed or preferring that he be the blocker? It seems UGA's out-of-bounds kick-offs were partly due to kicking away from Wright. If so, that sure helped out in that game.
