While the MTSU debacle was bad, it didn't carry on for years. Lose to GSU and GT would never hear the end of it.

GSU is exactly the kind of school we should be scheduling at home. Mercer is just a cupcake, it doesn't really matter who they are. Cupcakes will always be home games.

GT should play Kennesaw State in the future. That would be a better opponent than Alabama St or someone like that.

the issue may be who will bring more fans. do you recall the crush of fans from South Carolina State a few years ago? so many SCST alums in Atlanta area that will come to games. If you're going to scheduled FCS teams, seriously consider HBCUs

You are right about that,OldGold75. Tennessee is playing East Tennessee State in 2018 and their program is nowhere near as good as Kennesaw State and they're the same age. KSU did the right thing in first building a stadium so they wouldn't have to play in a high school stadium like ETSU

The Sourhern fans around me were very nice, as well. I would say they were the nicest opposing fans this season. Only exception was a girl behind us yelling the f bomb every other word when the play didn't go their way. The Eagle whose name is Freedom was really cool!
