Most GT fans blame the new coaching staff for the historically heinous results on the field over the past 3 seasons.

But I wonder what our record is playing on our new slick and slippery football field is? I hate our crappy looking field and point the blame directly at T-Stan for this nonsense.

Is there a GoFundMe to rid ourselves of this crapola? Should we start one???

I wonder why we have abandoned the full painted endzone approach that we used last year.

AA put the turf in so that BDS could host concerts and other events to create additional revenue streams to pay for coaching buyouts
Well hell, if that's the case sign me up for the next 9wkends of KC and the Sunshine Band Coverbands mixed with Mumble Rap.... I'm front row and purchasing VIP passes. Let's start a Concert Fund Raiser....Free 404ofGEOFF

The grass was nice, but plenty of teams do fine on turf. We played on crappier turf than this the last time we won a natty. I think it's more a preparation issue.

The turf itself seems fine from a function standpoint. We seem to slip a lot but our opponents do not. Slipping isn't always a sign of a bad turf or shoe. Probably 99% of slips come from not being balanced/out of position. It's also good to have like someone else said so that we can have more events here, practice in the stadium more, etc. My one complaint about the turf, and I don't know if it's fixable or not, is the paint never looks "fresh." I know they paint it just a day or 2 prior to gameday like normal, so maybe it's the type paint they have to use that can be removed. Whatever it is, the paint always looks equivalent to a natural turf field that was painted about a week ago. The lines and colors aren't bright and they don't "pop" off the field. I used to always be amazed at how perfect and beautiful the field looked and it doesn't look that way to me anymore.

I thought I was the only one. The colors always look grey-ish or faded to me.

In person or on TV? I can't attest to what it looks like on TV but for the past 2 years I've been to every home game and I've been underwhelmed with the appearance.
Now that you mention it - yeah, TV looks good - probably better than in person - on TV, it seems the players and uniforms look better against the muted green (as opposed to actual grass which is quite a bit brighter and more saturated green). But that's just my opinion.

How many concerts/events have we been able to host with the new turf? I think I remember a BTS concert? Obviously COVID impacted this the last 1.5 years but I'm curious how aggressive we're going to be pursing this revenue stream.

We had BTS, Guns N Roses, and another event I can't remember which already planned for 2020. COVID put a halt to everything.
