Mercedes-Benz Stadium is cursed. Tech vs. UT, devastating last-second loss for us. Both Tech and UT would go on to have bad seasons. FSU's QB is injured and FSU would go on to have one of their worst seasons in years, losing their head coach. Now UGA has beaten Auburn there to make the playoffs. Only the national title game remains. :chad:

Football should be played outdoors. No indoor stadium is a great stadium.

Let us know your cursed barrooms. They didn't recognize your greatness. Once you got drunk and belligerent they grabbed you by the collar and threw you into the street. If they had only known your delusions of grandeur. They were wrong.

Falcons will probably miss the playoffs too. Somebody go sprinkle some Georgia Dome dust around MBS.

I think Bobby Dodd was cursed too from Atlanta United playing there, that's why the mutts won. Someone throw some salt over your left shoulder.

When Atlanta-Fulton County stadium was built in the mid-60s, the city forced a lot of residents out of their homes, and as was too common then, in a heavy-handed way. Rumor has it an elderly black lady as she was being led from from her life long home put a curse on the stadium, part of which was "none of the teams that play there will be any good" and so it came to pass.

Fast forward to early spring 1991; a WSBTV reporter, Leroy Powell, dug up some dirt from the site of the old Atlanta Crackers stadium on Ponce and sprinkled it on the infield saying it should break the curse. And lo, the Braves went from worst to first, establishing a dynasty that lasted for a couple of decades.

Sadly, Leroy has passed away; who will remove the MBS curse?

I have my program from the 1971 game, although I was 5 and barely even remember it. The biggest player on either team was listed at 245 lbs.

I was at the '78 Purdue game; a thoroughly miserable game and experience in the rain. Purdue was thrilled to be there - it was their second bowl game in history and GT had no desire to be on the field that Christmas day.
