So did Taylor Bennett last year in the bowl game.

Not only with Calvin, but also against a pretty horrible WVa secondary and mediocre pass rush.

We can only hope whoever's HC next spring actually has open competition for starting QB job, unlike Chan. TB never did get over the heebie-jeebies back there - I kind of like the idea of a Booker/Nesbitt platoon, with Dwyer picking up the direct snap play on occasion.

Thats what bothers me the most Guapo. UGAy comes in for just "another" game. We need someone that is going to make this the rivalry game it should be.
The only reason it's just "another" game to UGag is b/c they consistently beat us...especially in the last 6 years. We start competing w/ them and it becomes a rivalry again. but for the time being there is no reason any ugag fan should think were more of a rival than UF or AU.

According to Richt, the Tech game is just as big as any other game they play. Not bigger, but just as big.

Not really. You obviously didn't watch the second half, and/or didn't understand the first.

Sure. Go do some thread searching around that time and see what the consensus was. I bow down to your NFL level football acumen.

There is no rivalry when the other team no longer respects you as an opponent. That ceased when we lost 51-7.

I am not saying there are not some southern black athletes that can handle the courseload, the bottom line is it comes down to numbers and it is much easier to recruit quality numbers when you can keep an athlete eligible with a major in recreation. Hey, someone has to turn on the lights at dusk in the county parks.

Yeah, and in the offseason we can have them pick some cotton to make shirts to sell in the bookstore...did you really just make that post?

I had a meeting with someone recently in the Student Development office and was very impressed with the diversity of non math/science major programs now. Not cake majors, but the excuses in this area are drying up quick.

Just like the excuses for Gailey dried up years ago...what a waste of time its been to watch someone perform at such a pathetic level for our kids, fans, alumni...
