My understanding is that there's still some level of contact allowed in the dead period, but just a higher level of restrictions.

It's not even that restrictive.

During a dead period a college coach may not have face-to-face contact with college-bound student-athletes or their parents, and may not watch student-athletes compete or visit their high schools. Coaches may write and telephone student-athletes or their parents during a dead period.

this is the TE we offered last week. He is visiting GT this weekend. Since we offered, he has received offers from FSU, Miami, UGA, and Bama. Other recruiters will be watching our staff. It seems odd now but we will have lots of copycats from SEC schools offering kids we offer because they respect our recruiting staff so much. Just have to assume relationships matter much and our staff can not only evaluate but will build strong relationships.

yes but it's over now. So, we can show up at 4 am anywhere we want. lol

And 40-year plan. He's from Clearwater Catholic. Godsey and Glover were from Tampa Jesuit I think? Assume Dixon will be recruiting Florida for us? And Will Glover helps?

Guys... can't understate this post enough.

We now seriously recruit head-to-head with the likes of Alabama, Clemson, UGA, & FSU. None of the offers we know aren't coming to GT. We are in a new class of recruiting we've never seen before.

The other schools know they cannot slow-play kids we like and scoop them up later if something else does not pan out for the school. They know if they give GC, BK et al a month without an offer the kid will be a GT borg by then.

Not just that, but if we can lock down an OV with them since we're recruiting them first, that's HUGE.

Not sure he knows where he is lol. Assume he is flying out of Charlie Brown? Which is fairly close to Heartland over on Hollowell Parkway/Bankhead for you old timers.
