Johnson and Wommack attribute the terrible defense to the LB's and DB's miscues on defense.

Also a little section in here about FSU and why Bowden thinks they aren't doing so hot:

Bobby Bowden pins most of this season's problems on the Seminoles' inability to score from the red zone. FSU is converting 76 percent of its chances inside the 20-yard line, tying them for 95th in the country with Georgia Tech... and Miami

Despite our records, we're looking more and more alike...

This is scaring me a little more now. Despite our records, we're looking more and more alike...

If you ask me, the fact that we have very similar statistics and yet have had the more success is encouraging. As a silly announcer put, we have "it", they don't. IMO

We've failed to score in the redzone due to missed field goals. We've also gotten TD's of >20 yards, so that has limited the number of snaps taken inside the 20.

Why has FSU not scored in the redzone?

gtcu17, you should include the fact that FSU is not only tied with us for red zone scoring, but Miami as well.

Wracer is right though, I bet FSU doesn't have as many scores from 20/30 yards at as Miami and us have.
