Defensive Adjustments

Please don't try to give Wommack any credit because he deserves none. I can scheme better than this man. He has to go or PJ won't last for too long
Gotta go with a good adjustment on this one. Yea, we turned the possession time around on them but they couldn't sustain anything like what they were doing in the 1st half.

Of course when you fix a problem you created then I'm not sure how much credit you are supposed to get or how much less blame you are supposed to get.
My favorite was when Derrick Morgan covered a running back on the goal line...

Wow... Everyone screws up.
someone who is good fixes their screwups. Too many people completely ignore them...

That is why I have faith in Wommack. He fixes his messes. Unlike Tenuta.

Btw, if Tenuta was coaching this team, we would have got lit up worse than right now... Just go back to the BC game with Matt Ryan... The ACC offenses are much better this year, and the QBs are much better too.
Boston College had a pretty damn complete offense that year... and I wouldn't say I have faith in Wommack. I think he can be competent, he just has to make adjustments faster is somethings wrong... We stayed in the 4-3 way too long with them passing so much.

What made CPJ want a linebacker coach from Southern Miss anyways...?

Man, you've got a pretty short rope for coaches, don't you?

We're 5-1 and we can have all the offensive shootouts in the world if we keep winning games. Saying "or PJ won't last too long" when we're 5-1 is absurd.

I do give Wommack credit for the second half, even if the first WAS the worst defensive performance I have ever seen at any level by any team. Hopefully we can put a full game together against VT.
Or they will be setting records against us in our own stadium.

For your info PJ has known Wommack for quite a while and knows his history much better than you evidently do. Whether he stays or not at the end of the year, to refer to him as "a lb coach from Sou Miss" just shows your ignorance.

He did coach the linebackers at Southern Miss, I was just curious what the connection was. Wasn't saying CPJ didn't know what he was doing....

I always heard that Paul's first choice was Coach Ellis Johnson, but he took the USC DC gig.

+1, CPJ is here for a while, so some of you need to get over it; while others of us rejoice in it.

2nd - Good players in a poor scheme would play better defense than what we saw in the first half. I'm not sold on Wommack; but I think we got some big problems at DL and LB that are contributing to the train wreck. CPJ was clearly disgusted at the first half defense by his facial expressions; but I can't tell from his scowl whether he was disgusted at Wommack, the players, or both.
