Delicious NIL

Yeah. 2.5 million for a QB playing at the highest level of CFB actually seems...a little low? Just thinking of all the money generated and how much the coach is paid.

No, CFB doesn't generate as much as the NFL, but NFL QBs are making 50+ million. Hell, the LSU coach is making over 9 million.

Expect these numbers to go up in the future.
10 years from now should the QBs at places like Southlake Carroll, De LaSalle, IMG, whatever the HS factory is in Georgia, etc. be making $500,000?

I guess it depends on how much money those places are pulling in. If those schools say, "Our goal is to make the most money possible" and they generate nine figures of revenue and pay the coach close to eight figures...why not?

Like Tampa said, once the coaches started pulling in obscene amounts of money, things changed. I'll also add to that when the schools started blowing up 100+ year traditions solely to make even more obscene amounts of money, things changed. And all of that was before NIL.

If the schools themselves decide that college football is primarily a money making venture, which they have, there's no reason to be upset with players wanting to be paid a fair market rate as part of that.

"There's NIL money, and there's what the Michigan Wolverines are trying to get 2025 No. 1 recruit Bryce Underwood to join them next season in Ann Arbor.

Underwood, the 6-foot-3, 205-pound phenom who stars for Belleville in Michigan, has become an all-in target for the Wolverines' program.

According to On3, Michigan is willing to offer Underwood, who is committed to play for LSU next year, $10.5 million in NIL money over four years."

We're going to need to sell a öööö tonne of cookies.

The GTAA is going to have to start some kind of legit side hustle to bring in income. Oregon has Nike. Most pro teams are owned by mega wealthy business owners like the Krafts and Gillette, etc.

If Tech is going to compete with this out of control NIL nonsense, it's going to have to start an operation that generates some serious income.

A bake sale is a good start, but we're gonna have to go bigger. Much bigger. Any ideas?

Delicious NIL would be my rap name if I could rap.

Maybe it will be my wrap name for Christmas, if bags and tissue paper counts as "wrapping".
