Jerry Howard will graduate this semester and then transfer out. Would not have counted against the 85 next season.
Ahmarean Brown says you can't make it to the NFL as a GT receiver. Maybe it is for the best that he transferred.
What led Ahmarean Brown from Georgia Tech to South Carolina? NFL dreams, Shane Beamer
Despite a record-tying freshman season in 2019, Brown decided to leave the Yellow Jackets and come to USC.amp-thestate-com.cdn.ampproject.org
“I wanted to come somewhere to get me to the NFL. I always knew the SEC would be the route for me whether it be coming out of high school or at Georgia Tech,” Brown told reporters Thursday.
“Coach Beamer, from the jump, is a genuine guy. Him coming from Oklahoma and the things he has done at Oklahoma. He is an offensive minded coach and the things he can do for me and things I can do for him. It was a great fit.”
In fairness he is clearly talking about the current regime. Here's to hoping Jalen Camp gets drafted a few rounds ahead of Shi Smith. But what does this quote even mean?
Was he always planning to transfer to a SEC school? Looks like he had a couple of SEC offers out of high school including Bama; so it doesn't make sense to me.
This quote looks like a real shot at our staff, probably wasn't intended to be but still:
I could see him feeling under utilized last year because several of us were wondering what happened to him.
He’s butthurt that his production fell off after his first year. As a freshman, he was our top receiver. As a sophomore, not only had we added other serviceable slot receivers, we had a running back who was a better receiver than him. I hope he does well, but I’m not sad he left. He is a small guy that can’t make people miss in space. In fairness he is clearly talking about the current regime. Here's to hoping Jalen Camp gets drafted a few rounds ahead of Shi Smith. And we had an offense and QB that did more than throw deep balls for him to run by people. If he makes us miss him, good for him, but we'll see.

14 touchdown passes, 13 interceptions. It was better than FSU or Duke; but nothing to brag about. If we had a WR who could run by people we should have been taking advantage of it.
Still a substantially improved offense by any measure. Maybe teams took that one play away last year. I doubt he was open and we just refused to throw it to him.
Good find. WowHold up on blasting AB. Someone from the Swarm caught this. The posted article is fake news.

Why Ahmarean Brown decided he wanted to join the South Carolina program and much more.247sports.com
Read the differences of the quotes between these two articles. The entire meaning of his quote was butchered - on purpose it seems to play up the whole SEC is better nonsense.
I don’t actually think he is. I think he’s a one trick pony and when we asked him to beAB is a really good player. Hated to see him go.
You must be worried about Collins ability to identify talent then.I don’t actually think he is. I think he’s a one trick pony and when we asked him to be
complete receiver last season he couldn’t do it. Interested to see howhe develops from here.
