I'm no insider, but my gut tells me it's 1a) Muschamp, 1b) Fisher.
 
Well with all the posturing going on, I'd bet it's 1a) Muschamp, 1a) Hatcher, 1a) Fisher, and we take whoever commits first.
 
I like this quote from GrizzardsUSA on the dawg board about Muschamp. Hiring Muschamp would certainly keep the boards and the posters busy.

I think Will Muschamp needs to worry about how we will react to be honest. That's just plain treason. It just baffles my mind how he could even consider that move. The bigger & more important question is: how do tech fans feel about hiring Muschamp?
I would have to think it is your worst nightmare that the BEST available coach for you is a UGA grad & former player....that you had to dip into OUR pool for a talented, accomplished coach - the future of your program, no less, rides on a Georgia boy. That can't possibly sit well. Hell, I would expect a few suicides over that one.

If Dem actually knew something defintive, I doubt he would post it. He could give us a few clues though or at least a short list.
 
Hatcher has been in contact with Giff in the last 24 hours. No word on what they discussed, but if it was business he'd need the AD's approval to do so.

The logical inferences being either Hatcher wants Giff on his staff there or on his future staff here.....

He is going to choose between a 1AA school and the Tech job??? If this is true, Fu*k him...keep searching! We can do better.....

Giff is a GSU alum. He was mentioned as a candidate for the GSU job when Hatcher was hired.

All signs point to the GSU on that one.
 
I doubt that anyone has been offered the job. We are very early in the process. I am sure that D-Rad will have a number of 1st interviews and informational interviews with various people and after he has narrowed it down to 2-3 they will be invited to meet with hiring committee then a decision will be reached. I think D-Rad is too thorough to wrap this thing up in 48 hours.
