The structure itself is pretty intimidating as it is one of the largest pure brick structures in the country, but the crowd was rather quiet to be locked in a crucial shootout with a rival. The lack of black shirts in support of not supporting bowden was very evident. I was actually looking forward to a deafening warchant, but never really heard one. Their fans seemed to have given up midway through the fourth. Our band was stellar, playing over their band on numerous occasions. Their fans weren't @$$holes, not that I saw... except for some dip**** launching two 3/4 full cans of beer from the upperdeck into the crowd as we were leaving out of gate G. All in all it was a great trip and probably I wont be able to speak until Tuesday or Wednesday. the design of the stadium kinda blows for the upper deck though as there are no concession stands or bathrooms. You have to go down a series of big ass ramps to get to the next level down which sucked. There probably wasnt a BAD seat in the house.. if there was it had to be close to me in the very last row of the upper deck.

Reiterations:

Offensive game ball: Nesbitt, hero

Defensive game ball: Penalty flags, they were able to slow the passing game from time to time.

the broadcast really seemed to focus on finding dejected Seminole fans in the crowd--and they did a great job of it. As the night wore on there were some pretty grim expressions saved for posterity. Several shots of Bowden on the sidelines in a fog.

They also went out of their way to present all the folks showing support of grandpa bowden either with signs, t-shirts, or pre-game interviews.

Good appraisal. I agree with the comments on the FSU fans. They were for the most part, polite, and quiet. They seemed to be either numb or resigned to the inevitable. A Jacket Win!

Also, as you mentioned, the YJ Band was fantastic!

Great trip.
