Making a bowl game is no goal for a real program to have.

Making a Major Bowl game is.

I have no record prediction or idea of what we should do record wise.

I just expect us to improve over the season and to fight like our lives depend on it.
 
I don’t even think I will be able to watch the Clemson game because our only cable provider where I live has not signed up yet for the ACC Network. I’m highly pissed about it

Was wondering who all would be there. Can’t get out of work until around 12 but never been to Clemson somwasnt sure what to expect as far as logistics go.

I don’t think any of them have yet. Negotiations and all that. It will get done. I think the deadline is next month sometime?

Believe Hulu and DirectTV (and I assume DirectTV Now) have already signed up. I’m sure there’s some free trial you can sign up for. But you should be cutting cable at this point anyway.

The question "does anybody think...." Is clearly a yes. But I don't understand the optimism. I am afraid this scheme change is going to be much harder than most people realize or want to believe. The talent on offense is equivelent to Western KY moving into the ACC. No one would give them a chance year 1. The defense should be good, but will it be good enough if they are on the field all the time because the offense is going 3 and out? In the old scheme a 3-out would at least take 2 minutes off the clock because you were running. But if you run-pass-pass you could potentially end up burning half a minute on an offensive series.

Don't know about anyone else's, but this hype train is fully stocked on GMO coal, thrusters've been refurbished to include hyperdrive, wheels greased with bulldog bone marrow, extendible wings coated with dragon scales in the right shade of gold; it's ready for ööööing lift off. 1. The lack of an experienced starter at QB is equivalent to being dealt a 2 and a 4 offsuit in Texas Hold em'. You're in a big hole to begin with, right there.
2. Defense wins more games than a good offense, and you aren't upgrading with 3.5-4 star players 2 deep in every position yet. GT's defense has been abysmal for a long time.
3. New offense that relies on throwing the ball to keep defenses honest requires a completely different type of OL and blocking scheme. How many passes did GT complete the past season?
4. Your schedule is no gimmie.

I understand the enthusiasm, and I think CGC will get GT there in 3 or 4 years. But you have to remember, all those teams you are playing against this season want to win every bit as much as you do.

But then again, what do I know? I hope Tech brings 7 or 8 wins with them when we meet after Thanksgiving.

YouTube TV has it as well. There is a Clark Howard graph that compares all the cable cutting options.
