Does Wommack get the axe before the season ends?

I don't think we could get a DC in the middle of the season, but Wommack NEEDS to leave. Besides VPI, the rest of our games will likely be winnable, but people can't forget how terrible this guy is.

I don't think it's CPJ's style to fire somene during the season. He'll probably wait until the end of the season to make a coaching change.

No we can't forget.
We won't do anything in the middle of the season though. That just can't work for changing coordinators who will have different philosophies. You can try it with a head coach because the new guy won't change very much during the season.

I was looking at our schedule, and I think we could win the rest of them if we don't lose to VPI:

VPI
@Virginia
@Vanderbilt
Wake Forest
@Duke
Georgia

VT and @UVA are the two toughest remaining --but of course UGA will be tough as well.

You're already calling next week a loss? To be perfectly honest I'm more confident about that game than any other left save Vandy.

I'm not saying it's a loss. I'm saying that it's the game that looks like we could lose the most.

What he means is that VPI might be the only team remaining on our schedule that we can't outright beat. Our A game vs their A game might not get us a W.

Outside of a complete crapping of our pants against some crummy team(s) down the line, 9-3 is the worst case scenario. We weren't great on defense in the 2d half but we were better (granted, we didn't set the bar very high). Let's not fire anybody yet.

We're not like our friends up 316, if that helps.
