Don't ever root for the failure of Georgia Tech

I, like many of you, was very emotional this weekend. I was very much invested in a win but we let it slip away. Honestly, about 24 hours after I sobered up, if we had a couple of breaks we could have won that game. It happens, nothing to do about it now but move forward. And I have taken my frustration out on the head coach because he's the guy in charge. I could have talked about the individual performances of some players, but that's not what we do. CPJ is a big boy and when we lose he should take the heat, like when we win he always takes the credit.

But one thing I cannot tolerate, and will never be ok with, is people rooting for the team to do worse for a change in coaching. That to me is the most treacherous act you can commit as a fan. It's what spineless weasels do. I can understand cussing everyone out, asking for heads to roll and even threatening to cancel tickets in the moment of heat. But saying things like "the best thing that can happen to us is another 3-9 seaon" is high treason. I haven't seen it on this board, but I have seen and heard it from some so called Tech fans, and I think those of you who think like this and openly broadcast it are complete trash and I will call you out as trash if I ever hear you say it in public.

You remind me a little bit of the Joe Ham game versus FSU when I went totally ape shit. Took me a couple of years to get over it. You're okay, dude.

Great post. I am wondering though where the banhammer has gone...it must have taken the weekend off.

I think almost all of those people have been perma-banned or ridiculed off this board.

What can anyone do about the past? You can cry about it, or learn from it. Being a victim never helped anybody.
Welcome back to the light side of the force- @Akinji07.

Oh no, did BS hold ur balls to the band saw if you didn't make a positive post? Jk, I agree we just gotta keep pushing on, hoping to have a turn around big win, which I hope we do. We all get mad and fired up when our teams lose, mama name calling, talking bad about minorities, p*nis jokes, cross burnings, tipping your tvs over or throwing out a window, but calling out for the coach to get dumped or the team to lose just won't help getting the team pumped up to push on for the next matchup. Let's go out there and slaughter Georgia Southern this weekend and continue the stride all the way through to beating the mutts!

Nice post. I'm still on the road so haven't seen the replay yet but the game looked better from the stands than on TV I'm guessing. I usually get pretty torqued after a loss but it seemed like we fought hard the entire game and never even thought about folding.

I might have questions about the program but on Gameday, I just want to see 60 minutes of solid effort, heart and guts and that is what I saw.

Uhhhh, tell us how you really feel - don't sugar coat it. There has been a time or two in my 59 years of being a Tech fan that I wanted a new coach. I understand people who feel that way. They want what they think is best for the program - but they are misguided IMHO if they root against us to get that done. I just can't root for us to lose.

One other thing. I'm not at all happy with our performance since the Orange Bowl (as I imagine most of us feel that way) but not once either last year or this year, did I see any quit in anybody on the team. They play hard to the end. For that alone they deserve our support.

That's what I was wondering. I saw folks doing that in previous regimes but not in CPJ's tenure. At least not yet.

I just can't throw in the towel on the guy when teams that are loaded (Notre Dame, Michigan St, Oregon, etc.) are having tough years with rosters seemingly better than ours. This is a strange season across the entire FBS. A lot of good teams are just getting their butts whooped (e.g., F$U at Louisville)
