Don't ever root for the failure of Georgia Tech

I, like many of you, was very emotional this weekend. I was very much invested in a win but we let it slip away. Honestly, about 24 hours after I sobered up, if we had a couple of breaks we could have won that game. It happens, nothing to do about it now but move forward. And I have taken my frustration out on the head coach because he's the guy in charge. I could have talked about the individual performances of some players, but that's not what we do. CPJ is a big boy and when we lose he should take the heat, like when we win he always takes the credit.

But one thing I cannot tolerate, and will never be ok with, is people rooting for the team to do worse for a change in coaching. That to me is the most treacherous act you can commit as a fan. It's what spineless weasels do. I can understand cussing everyone out, asking for heads to roll and even threatening to cancel tickets in the moment of heat. But saying things like "the best thing that can happen to us is another 3-9 seaon" is high treason. I haven't seen it on this board, but I have seen and heard it from some so called Tech fans, and I think those of you who think like this and openly broadcast it are complete trash and I will call you out as trash if I ever hear you say it in public.
print this out and read it to yourself on Saturdays then.

I don't have to read it to myself because I don't root against Tech. But thank you for your douchy comment.

What if Tech is playing in the ACC title game against a 12-0 Clemson team that's ranked #2, and an undefeated UGA is ranked #3 with a chance to play in the MNC game? Let's say, for the sake of argument that Notre Dame is yet again over-ranked at #1.

What do you do then?

Beat Clemson
Be happy that Georgie will play ND in title game...bc you gonna blow up and kill everyone at the stadium

100,000 less douchebags in America

Youre welcome!

Not gonna lie. When UGA was up on us by 2 TD's in the 2nd half of the 2007 game, I finally decided enough was enough and started pulling for them to run up the score so that Chan would lose his job at the end of the game. And though I'm not a fan of Paul Johnson's offense, I still can't make myself pull for a Tech loss.

But apparently you will at some point in the future.

Nope, I didn't pull for us to lose. When we were down by 2 TD's, they had the ball and there was less than 3 minutes to go in the game, we weren't going to win. Might as well pull for a more embarrassing loss if that achieves the result of ending the misery of Chan Gailey.

Turns out they didn't have to score again as Chan was fired on the Monday following that game.

Nobody roots to lose. The current trajectory is not good though.

Go check out what some other so called fans are saying. I didn't make this up just to post this. It was a reaction to a few people I read online.

What home games do we have in November? I need to come down and kick your and the plaid shorts asses.

I do wonder why we've had such a let down since 2014. We have a great quarterback and a good stable of running backs. We have some wide outs that can catch. PJ said our offensive line is better this year. Our defense hasn't been great but has been pretty good the last two years relative to the 2-3 years before. I'm sure it is demoralizing for PJ and the team.
