He picked Georgia State over an offer from Boston College and a few other schools.

Amazing that Alabama never offered despite all of the attention and promises when recruiting Chris Jackson!

It turns out he was comfortable with Bill Curry and wanted to be close to home.

Are we about to see a repeat of Florida(the state) here in GA?

With GStateU starting up, and GSouthU getting bigger, it could cause some parity and hurt us and UGA...similar to USF and UCF in FL hurting UF, FSU, Miami.

Good for him and good for Curry over at State. They're going to do some good things over there, but Im not too worried about them moving up to D1A anytime soon.

the worry is not them moving up but crowding the Georgia recruit market.

I don't see it really affecting us, or the mutts, and probably won't affect GSU all that much to begin with anyways, but will keep kids more in state. The ones who are actually going to be hurt by this are the furmans, the mtsu, etc.

Exactly what I was thinking. If it does ever start affecting us and ugag at a 1A level, I see it could hurt our recruiting on a couple of recruits, but I see it being devastating to uga.

(WOW! This is the first time I've been able to post a reply after being a frequent reader!)

Where did you see the info on Little? How many commits does that make for GSt?

Is that the Mark Hogan that Played back in the early 80's with Curry as coach? I think so but not for sure.

We wont be recruiting the same kids for Athletic and Academic reasons....atleast not in the next 10 years or so. The only exception may be kickers or walk on kids that normally would come to us...they may get schollies at State.

The State of Alabama has 4 D-1 programs (UofA, Auburn, Troy, & UAB) and are working on getting another (U of South Alabama). They have 2 D1-AA (Samford and Jax St) and several good D-II's.

There should be at least as many opportunities to play quality, high-level football in Georgia as in Alabama. Our 2 D1s and 2 D1-AAs (GSU and Savannah St) should be fine with the addition of GSt in the mix.

Ga State having a viable team in my lifetime(62) will be a shock.
I feel the school has made a huge mistake with adding football.

My friends @West Ga. football feel the same.

It took USF less than a decade.
