Hey all. I have a request if anyone can fill it. I am a pastor to students at a church here in Gulf Shores, and I'll be taking a few high schoolers to a campus preview at Covenant College in Lookout Mountain Oct. 2-4, and I thought it would be fun to also go to the Tech game on the 4th, especially since the noon kickoff time would fit our schedule perfectly. So, if anyone has any tickets (we need at least 4 as of now, maybe as many as 6, we'll have a final number by the end of the week) they would like to donate (to the church, tax deductible, of course) or at least give a good deal on, I would appreciate it.
Thanks for reading, PM me if you can help us out.

It just so happens I'll be out of town that weekend, and have 2 tickets in the Jackets Nest.

I'll give them for free, but I'm a slacker, and don't know what the easiest way to get them to you is.

Doesn't GTAA allow electronic transfer of tickets now? Thought I got some email about that a while ago.

I know they allow it of tickets that you buy online, because they just email you the barcode for each ticket, and you can just forward them on to your friends.

I'm not sure how that's supposed to work with season tix though.

since you have time, you could MAIL them with the US Mail or you can mail them to the ticket office for will call, i think

Yeah yeah, they're already in the mail. I was just curious how the new fangled way works.

i think IF you buy the electronic tickets, you get an email of the ticket, so you can just email that to anyone

you can only scan it once at the gate, though

I've got a paypal account.

We civil engineers have to take it wherever we can in today's market.

Hey Matato, While you are at Covenant, bring the kids on up to Lee University in Cleveland... You aren't a Covenant grad are you? :D

Nope, not a Fighting Scot. I split my time back and forth between GT and Kennesaw State, finished with a BA Hist. from KSU.
My mom, however, went to Lee for a couple of years, but found the strict rules at the time just too oppressive (back in the late 70s, women had to wear dresses or long skirts, no dancing or movies, etc...)

I do have a good story on Cleveland, nice town. I was taking my high schoolers on a ski trip to Winterplace in WV, and on the way my alternator in the church van started going out, we made it as far as Cleveland, when I stopped at a gas station (this after stopping at WalMart and a AutoZone, thinking it's just a dead battery, replacing said battery and buying a portable charger. We tried to charge the battery, but it just got us down the street, obviously, b/c there was no alternator). I called back home, had them see if there was a local PCA church, which was Trinity Presbyterian (on Stuart Road). This was at 11:00 on a Saturday night. I called the church, thinking I would just leave a message, but lo and behold the janitor was there, and he answered the phone, got me in touch with the pastor, who came and got us, took us to his house, gave us (14 of us) places to sleep, breakfast, took us to church that morning, and had a member of the church fix our van for us. Great folks, all around, really saved the day for us. We did miss a day of skiing, but it became one of those more memorable trips. Big ups to Trinity (www.tpc-pca.org) and the pastor and his family (Tim McQuitty, who I believe has now moved to Montgomery).

That's great, man! I've been to Trinity a couple times. I had some friends while I was an undergrad that went there.

BTW, Lee is NOTHING like it was back then. My mom was at Lee in the late 70's/ early 80's. If you ever get a chance, stop through here and check out the campus. Beautiful place... the Athletics are pretty darn good, as well (we used to enjoy a nice history of beating Covenant- but that series has weakened now as Lee is an NAIA Div I school and Covenant is still NCCAA I believe... Our men's bball coach was a Fighting Scot, however).

That pic actually looks like it has a weird, burned by acid, Harvey Dent/Two-Face thing going on. Scary.

thats what you get when you mix beer, an already touched up picture, MS Paint and five minutes

i literally cut the smile, flipped it upside down and then did barely any touch up as that is boring and i was just havin fun

Not saying I didn't enjoy it...

bump...
I need 3 more tix, either donated or a deal. Do it for the kids!

I am also a pastor at a local church and I request 4 tickets for me and 3 members of my covenant for the UGAg game in November.
