Urban Meyer went from Utah to Florida and was successful, the current situation at Auburn has more to do with the Boosters than it does Harsin, they ran off Gus, they ran off Bo Nix and they just ran off the AD.... Just craziness on the Plains right now.
They make LSU fans seem almost rational.
It was not always thus. I think being ass raped by Nick Satan for the past 14 years and watching him win Natty after Natty has made them insane.
Unfortunately our fan base likes to put that energy and craziness into being the smartest and best grades. It’s really enraging to see as a sidewalk fan.
What are you talking about? Do you think being a Tech student makes you a Tech football fan and part of the "fan base?"
Most Tech students are there to get degrees for their future careers. about half are not from the state of Georgia and an increasing number grew up in Asia. Many/most could not give a öööö about college football. What's wrong with that?
I was a football fan for more than a decade before I ever even applied to Georgia Tech. Saw my first college football game in person almost ten years before attending Tech. Couldn't care less about Georgia Tech football before I matriculated . . . only things I ever knew about Tech football were Cumberland, the "Wrong Way" Reigels Rose Bowl, Bobby Dodd, and Eddie McAshan, I'm a Tech football fan because I was ALREADY a college football fan before I attended Tech. College is expensive. I went to Tech for the engineering education, not the football, and sure as öööö not for "fun." And I'm pretty sure the vast majority of current Tech students went there for the same reason. If I had to choose between Tech continuing to be a great educational institution, or Tech having a great football program, that would not be a hard call for me. Or the vast majority of Tech students and alumni, I bet.
If you're expecting some great outpouring of support for Tech's football team from the Tech student population, I think you're in for a world of disappointment.
I believe it is insane to “try” to be successful in the current environment of college football. There I said it. Furthermore it is morally wrong.
Morally wrong?
MORALLY wrong?!? Please to explain that one. TIA!
